PRODUCT DATASHEET
FixStream Meridian™ is an advanced IT management platform based on the latest operational analytics and visualization techniques. The system provides near real time intelligence synthesized from the vast amount of data spread across applications and associated data center infrastructure. Meridian works with existing application and network performance monitoring (APM, NPM) and security information and event management (SIEM) tools through an open ingestion layer and delivers critical new capabilities.
• APM users can now see the precise path of communication between applications through every layer of the infrastructure
• NPM users gain business contextual perspective by seeing how each business application is distrib-uted across the infrastructure and conversely which applications are supported by each individu-al infrastructure resource
• Security focused users get visibility into flows and paths to spot potential threats -- For example, the ability to see spontaneous new flows outside the normal operation.
FixStream Meridian™ PlatformFlow2Path™ Analytics and Visualization for Business Focused Cloud Operations
• IT teams using application and network performance monitoring solutions have no cross-domain tool to nd the source of business-impacting issues embedded deep in the infrastructure
• It is impossible for these teams to build abstract views for critical business process and see the precise paths of communication through every layer of infrastructure
• Teams deploying software dened network-ing and network function virtualization require operational analytics to visualize these dynamic systems
• Enterprises have masses of valuable opera-tional data distributed across silos but lack a centralized operational analytics platform to make use of it
Challenges:
Summary CapabilitiesMeridian uses broad data ingestion to discover all application services and physical and virtual infrastructure resources across each cloud data center. From this it provides a highly automated way for users to build tops-down hierarchical groups of application and infrastructure resources focused on specific business and operational priorities. Then it builds an interactive map that zooms from the highest global view to the lowest level in just a few clicks. It shows where each application service is running, pinpoints traps and blind spots and provides the baseline for more advanced infrastructure optimization, performance monitoring and machine learning capabilities. Meridian runs entirely in software on a set of virtual machines. Its baseline functionality requires no special hardware or agents.

• Meridian™ Flow2Path provides critical APM and NPM related monitoring capabilities with the addition of precise intelligence into the end-to-end communications
• Presents real time contextual overlay views for each business service which leads to improved fault isolation, cost reduction and planning capabilities
• Provides single cross domain source of intelligence from the highest business process to lowest element of infrastructure and every layer in between
• Rich visual and cross-domain interface encourages collaborative team engagement

Enterprise Features
Meridian includes a number of critical features for enterprise-class deployments.
ScalabilityMeridian is based on a scale-out architecture at each layer. Multiple data collector and correlation and analytics engine virtual machines can be added to match the required data processing volume and speed requirements.
High AvailabilityThe platform is designed to eliminate single point of failures within the system. Each of the solution components at each layer is redundant and leverag-es the best practices to scale and be highly available. The components are fault tolerant and resilient.
User ManagementRoles are set based on specific privileges and then add, edit, delete users with respect to the Roles. For example the system can be configured to allow dashboard views only to VP of Operations or CXO users while operations teams can be given access only to the hierarchical views associated with their line of business.
Platform SecurityMeridian runs on premise, which means all sensitive data is kept inside the data center. User access is secured through AAA and LDAP based user authenti-cation on the back end. In terms of data protection, all user ID and password along with operating data is encrypted.
