Automotive

Our contribution to improve safety.

As the leading manufacturer of mirrors and invisible cover glass for vehicle displays, FLABEG guarantees better safety and less stress while driving. Brands such as Audi, BMW, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, GM, Renault, Nissan, Toyota, VW and Volvo trust in our know-how and in our high standards of production quality.

Mirror coatings with a reflection in a wide range of 40 % to 90 % designed as a standard mirror or even as a beam splitter – we develop solutions according to the needs of any application.

Interior mirrors

Classical prisms in various shapes, special mirrors with an anti-reflex coating and beam splitters for the integra-tion of information.

Exterior mirrors

Vehicle mirrors in vari-ous shapes (flat, spheri-cal, aspherical, plan-aspherical, bi-convex) or coatings (silver, chrome, blue, low-glare, beam splitter).

Beam splitters

When required, beam splitters permit the inconspicuous integra-tion of information elements such as warn-ing lights or displays in mirror systems.

Sunvisor mirrors

Design and comfort are very important in modern vehicles. So our offer is accordingly diverse.

Cover glass

Optically coated and anti-reflective, this glass enables vital information to be reliably captured on any kind of displays.

Glass assembly

Mirrors, heater ele-ments and backing plates as full assem-blies.

Willibald Vogl, Team Leader Automotive

“Lowest tolerances enable FLABEG to design the smallest possible mirror to fulfill the required field of vision.”

Solar

Innovation from the pioneer of solar technology.

Solar thermal technology is currently the only regenerative technology that is able to replace fossil and nuclear power stations in the medium load area.

The possibility to efficiently store energy and also generate more than eight hours of clean energy, even after sunset, is unique to solar technologies.

FLABEG mirrors are extremely robust. They have been installed in virtually all the commercially operated power stations since the 1980s and are in daily operation even today without any losses of power.

Parabolic Trough mirrors

The efficiency of a solar panel depends on the solar reflection of the mirror layer and the precision of bending. An absorber pipe with a diameter of 70 mm must be targeted from a distance of almost two meters.

FLABEG achieves a hit rate of virtually 100 %.

Mirrors for Dishes

Dish stirling systems are made up of concave mirror systems with dia-meters of three to 25 meters. FLABEG cuts the mirrors into any shape.

Per request, FLABEG will also produce dishes measuring more than 1.30 m in diameter from a single piece of glass.

Mirrors for Towers

Solar power technology is frequently found in desert-like areas with high climatic requirements. FLABEG flat mirrors are distinguished by their tried-and-tested durability. They are also corrosion-resistant and resistant to desert sand.

Mirrors for Linear Fresnel

Fresnel mirror collectors bundle the sunlight onto an absorber pipe via several parallel and level flat mirror facets. FLABEG produces precise flat mirrors in different dimensions and thicknesses.

“The highest level of reflection and precision, the key to the greatest degree of efficiency, is achieved with great care and through processes that have been mastered to perfection.”Dr. Olaf Knebel, Sales Engineering

Technical Glass

Invisible intelligence with a diverse range of applications.

We make glass invisible with sophisticated thin-film technologies – for example in the case of minimal reflection filter panels for consumer electronics and displays or optical-interference anti-reflective glass with UV protection for art in museums.

Thanks to the highest degree of flexibility and specific knowledge, we are in a position to meet the requirements of a wide variety of markets – and we develop high-quality solutions for our customers’ individual requests.

“There is virtually nothing that cannot be made more functional, more convenient and safer with the right type of glass.”
