Activities are subject to change if weather changes. However, activities will take place before the end of the 10 weeks. Parents are required to attend a 1-hour orientation Session before students can participate in this ministry.
Safety Precautions/Dress Code
We are here for the education, care and safety of your children. With this in mind, the following policy will be enforced in order to keep your children safe. During the summer program children are to wear:
non-marking sneakers comfortable shorts and t-shirts. Pumps and dress shoes are strictly prohibited because the activities
throughout the day do not allow participation with these types of shoes and are hazardous to the child.
Ministry t-shirts are required on field trips to St. Louis. If your child does not have on a program t-shirt, he or she will not be allowed to attend the field trips to St. Louis, unless extra shirts are available.
If a child enters the program with unacceptable clothing, parents (or emergency contact) will be called and expected to provide proper clothing. Clothing should be planned with the schedule of activities as a guide.
Due to safety reasons, students are not allowed to wear flip-flops. All parents and students shall be properly attired while attending, visiting,
Picking up your child or dropping your child off at the TVCA-CPS. Please do not wear anything that is too revealing or very short.
Drop-Off and Pick-up Safety Tips
Please lock your vehicle and do not leave your wallet, purse, or other valuables visible in the automobile.
ITEMS NEEDED FOR CAMP
Each day, the child should bring the following items to camp (please label all items sent to camp with your child's name):
• Swimsuit (Friday's Only)
• Towel (Friday's Only)
• Backpack (to store items not being used)
12
• Prescribed Medication in original packing (If necessary)
• Sun block (will remain with counselors until needed)
• Change of clothes (Children under 5 years of age)
• Squeeze Water Bottle
• Cold lunches (In zip lock bags w/ names)
• Insect repellent
The camp staff requests that you do not send any toys (i.e. game boys, etc). The toys from home may tend to provide an unnecessary distraction for the other campers when the staff is trying to implement a game or activity. In addition, we do not want a child to misplace or lose toys. The camp will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items. Parents are strongly encouraged to help the child pack for camp daily to ensure that inappropriate items are not brought to camp.
**All items should be clearly labeled with full first and last name. **
Lunches
Children may bring zip lock bags only! The campers may bring a lunch as well as a separate bag for snacks. Please place your child's name and age on each bag. If your child is here longer than 9 hours per day we highly recommend that you pack a snack bag. Each day when your child arrives at TVCC they will drop off their cold lunches at the kitchen window. Once lunch has been dropped off, your child will be allowed to eat until the designated time. Food and drinks are not allowed in the classrooms or the chapel. If a child comes to camp without a lunch we will prepare a cold lunch for $3.50.
Continued Care may be contracted for the duration of the month of August with the TVCA-CPS.

TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH
Standards Of Conduct
TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries holds that the Bible is the infallible, divine
Word of God and that the salvation by faith in Christ is the initial step in the Christian life. There is adequate Biblical basis for the idea of spiritual growth into the image of Christ (Romans 8:29), which is the work of the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18). This growth begins with the initial act of saving faith and continues throughout life. The Holy Spirit makes the Christian conscious of the Biblical demands for a holy life which fulfills both God’s moral law and high law of love (Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 13:8-10; Galatians 5:14). The result is a life consecrated unto God and separated from the world.
TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries must therefore provide an environment conducive to the spiritual growth and development of young people who are not yet mature Christians. A standard of conduct based on the following Biblical imperatives is necessary to provide such an environment. All of the activities of the Christian must be subordinated to the glory of God who indwells us (I Corinthians 8:9, 10:32, 12-13). The Christian will endeavor to avoid practices which cause the loss of sensitivity to the spiritual need of the world and loss of the Christian’s physical, mental, or spiritual well-being (I Corinthians 9:27).
A sense of the need for spiritual growth in light of these principles has led True Vine Summer Ministries to adopt the following standards which we believe are conducive to the environment that will best promote the spiritual welfare of the student.
21
1. To refrain from swearing, indecent language, smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, the abuse of drugs, gambling, lewd/lascivious dancing and inappropriate music while on the premises.
2. To maintain Christian standards in courtesy, kindness, morality, and honesty while on premises.
The selection of restrictions mentioned in this pledge may appear arbitrary to some, but while not condemning others who see differently, TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries believes that the restrictions named are outstanding types of conduct which are detrimental to the standards established as its objective.
Students are expected to abide by these standards throughout their enrollment while at TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries and at all times while on the premises of TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries. Students found to be out of harmony with the
Standards of Conduct and ideas of work and life of TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries may be invited to withdraw whenever the general welfare demands it, even though there may be no special breach of conduct. In this atmosphere of definite and positive Christian standards of conduct, good scholastic planning, and genuine personal interest between faculty and student there is fine opportunity for development of strong Christian character.

TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH
Statement Of Cooperation
It is my understanding that the policy for the school is that any fees including registration fees will not be refunded. I give TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries permission for my child to take part in all summer activities, including bus trips, sport activities, and sponsored trips away from the Ministries/church premises. I also believe that discipline is necessary for the welfare of each student as well as for the entire school. I give permission for my child’s teacher and/or other agent of the Ministries to make and enforce classroom regulations in a manner consistent with Christian principles and discipline as set forth in the Scriptures. I further agree to hold the Ministries and its agents harmless of any liability to my child or any guardian or parent thereof because of any claims on behalf of my child against the school or any agent thereof because of injury or alleged injury to my child. Should legal action, for any reason, be taken against TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries or any employee or agent thereof, on my child’s behalf and the school or its agent not be found at fault, I agree to pay any attorney fee, court fees, damages or other costs that TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries or its agent should incur to defend itself against such action.
The Statement of Cooperation will be in effect for as long as my children listed (or others to be enrolled) attend TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries whether it be in the Nursery, Kindergarten, Elementary, or Summer Ministries.
I understand that should my marital status change that it is my responsibility to have a corrected Statement of Cooperation signed, dated, and delivered to TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries. TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries admits students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin, whose beliefs and values are consistent with True Vine Family Life Church Standard of Conduct, Statement of Cooperation, and other policies.

Disciplinary Policy
TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries is committed to providing children and families with learning oriented quality care, in a positive and supportive environment. A major part of that obligation is focused on the importance of discipline (instruction, training, corrective action) and its effect on your child. The following are guidelines that are used and will continue to be used during the duration of our program:
1. Determine why the child is misbehaving (attention, boredom, tired).
2. Use voice modulation to firmly direct the child to proper behavior.
3. The child will receive a verbal warning if inappropriate behavior continues.
4. “Time Out” to provide the child an opportunity to think about appropriate behavior. It will last one minute per year of age, be in sight of a teacher, and preferably be located where the child can see other children.
5. Three time outs in one day will require a written report by the child’s teacher/counselor. (and student cannot participate in the next off campus field trip)
6. If a child is put in time out and continues to exhibit inappropriate behavior, the child will be taken to the Summer Ministries Director, who will evaluate the situation and determine if the child’s parent(s) should be called.
7. Violent or abusive behavior will result in an immediate call to the parent, and a parent/teacher conference when the child is picked up or immediate pickup by parent as necessary. The Summer Ministries Director will supervise the conference. Repeated actions of inappropriate behavior will require parental conference and a half day to a full day suspension at the parent’s expense. Should the parent not have a place for the child to spend the half day or full day suspension, an in-school suspension will be established which will consist of: ISOLATION FROM REGULAR CLASS - no activity involvement and isolated lunch. This action must be approved by the Administrator for an additional charge of $7.00per hour.
8. Any student hitting a teacher will result in a two-day suspension on the following day (at the parent’s expense). No In-School suspension will be allowed. The intent and attitudes of the student will be strongly considered by the Summer Ministries Director so as to determine corrective actions. A conference will be required before re-admittance.
25
9. An incident report will be completed and placed in the student’s file. The parent will be made aware of the incident.
10. Classroom rules, manners, good habits, bathroom and lunchroom behavior will also be emphasized. We only establish these guidelines to assist you in helping us with the best possible means of training and developing respect, and positive responsive attitudes to authority.
In this atmosphere of definite and positive Christian standards of conduct, good scholastic planning, and genuine personal interest between faculty and student there is fine opportunity for development of strong Christian character.
