Agility is defined as the power of moving quickly and easily; nimbleness. Now more than ever organizations are being asked to do more with less and constantly adjust to changing rules or processes. Xerox provides justice solutions based on current technologies designed to be adaptable and flexible or in other words, agile. For over 20 years, we have been providing innovative solutions to the justice market. Xerox is proud to continue the tradition with our latest products, AgileCourt and AgileJury.

AgileCourt Courts need the ability to quickly and efficiently share, access, and apply information to new and changing court operations. These demands call for sophisticated case management software using the latest technology. AgileCourt simplifies business processes, improves efficiency, and provides a new generation of highly flexible justice solutions to fit your needs. Some of the key design features of the system include:

Flexible Architecture. Our technical design provides an exceptionally flexible and scalable foundation based on the Java Enterprise Edition platform (JEE). Database and application server independence allow you to choose the technology vendor that best fits your needs and budget.

Integrated Rules Engine. Each courts business processes are different, and those processes are often in some state of flux. Courts must adapt to changing legislation and constituent requirements with minimal technical dependence. AgileCourt integrates with an industry-leading rules engine. By placing a rules engine at the heart of the system, AgileCourt puts business logic in the hands of subject matter experts. Courts can effectively control how the system works for them without time-consuming application changes required by many systems.

Intuitive Design and Usability. AgileCourts easy-to-use design enhances court productivity without requiring extensive training. The intuitive interface guides users through each process with visual cues, such as colors and icons. Process-centric design decisions, such as workflow management and mass processing, enhance efficiencies from day one.

AgileJury Deciding between a jury management system thats easy to use and a system with rich functionality is not necessary. AgileJury is both. Designed with your court in mind, AgileJury development has been guided by the standards set by the:

National Center for State Courts (NCSC) Conference of State Court Administrators (COSCA) National Association for Court Management (NACM)

With years of experience working with courts, our subject matter experts used these standards to design an intuitive business solution, which includes:

True Web Application based on the Java Platform Database and Application Server Independence Maximum Flexibility and Configurability via the integrated Rule Engine Intuitive Design and Usability Integrated Rules Engine NCOA Processing Multi-Jurisdiction Enabled

Electronic Filing Giving attorneys, Pro Se litigants and other filing agencies a quick and easy way to submit filings to the court and receive communications electronically is a great way to reduce waiting time, improve information accuracy and reduce court operating costs. Xerox provides solutions to help your court realize these advantages and the know-how to make your electronic filing initiative successful.

Violation Processing Our court customers recognize the administrative burden that violation processing puts on the shoulders of already-stretched court staff. Xeroxs centralized violations processing center improves court efficiencies by allowing clerks and other court staff to concentrate on more complex court tasks and also provides courts vital revenue that could be used to help support ongoing operations and improvements.

Source List and National Change of Address Xerox provides custom source list creation for your jury wheel, combining multiple lists into a single file and then applying additional techniques to improve deliverability such as:

Updating the addresses using the National Change of Address (NCOA) service Using the Delivery Point Verification (DPV) check to verify addresses meet the us Postal Service standards Automatically updating the jury system based on the NCOA process including disqualifications for out of jurisdiction and deceased individuals.

Print/Mail Services One of the most daunting challenges facing courts today: managing valuable documents and data. Do your document management services ensure optimum efficiency and productivity? Call us. We have the expertise to make document and data management a painless process for your organization. Xerox uses the information from your jury management system to print questionnaires/summons. We can even fold, stuff and mail the questionnaires to potential jurors for you. This helps you save both time and money by reducing staff workload as well as printing and postage costs.

Jury Check-In/Check-Out Kiosk System Simplify the jury check-in/out process with the Jury Kiosk System. Jurors can perform the process using an intuitive touch screen or keyboard interface reducing lines and freeing up Jury staff. The kiosk can be equipped with a built-in computer, touch screen, printers, bar code and magnetic readers to accommodate a wide range of tasks.

Upon arriving at the Courthouse, jurors can:

Check themselves into attendance Print their own juror badge (with adhesive backing) Enter or confirm any required biographical information

When leaving the Courthouse, jurors can:

Produce their own payments with either a check or debit card Print their own letter of attendance

    Complete an Exit Survey

Jury Display System Utilizing one or more large monitors located throughout the Jury Assembly area, the system displays the names of the jurors as they are selected for panels that will be moved into the Courtrooms, eliminating the need to call jurors names out, and move the jurors to the courtrooms in a smooth and efficient manner. In addition, the system can display additional media such as entertainment (CNN, etc.), Jury Orientation, or a Judges Welcoming Speech.

Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System Using our Interactive Voice Response telephone system enables jurors to call the court 24 hours a day 7 days a week to determine their next court date; request and process excusals and disqualifications; and change their jury service date to another available time. The system can also perform outbound reminder calls the day prior to a jurors court date. Other features include speech recognition and multiple languages support.

InfoScan Document Management Processing juror questionnaires and sorting juror information cards can be a laborious task. With InfoScan, it is possible to reduce the time it takes to process these forms. Through a strategic partnership with Scantron, Xerox offers the Juror InfoScan system that not only speeds up, but revolutionizes, the way juror qualification questionnaires are processed. Using this state-of-the-art solution, the Court can eliminate the massive data entry required by this stage of the jury management process. Prospective jurors complete jury questionnaires that are then scanned to process responses automatically, harvest applicable data, and store an image of the document. Infoscan can also scan and image ancillary documents such as doctors letters.

e-Juror eJuror allows citizens to communicate with the court via the Internet. Jurors can access court information, complete and submit a juror questionnaire, enter biographical information, request service postponements and deferrals, and more. eJuror is fully integrated into the AgileJury System, and updates can be done in real time automatically. Since jurors enter and verify their own data online, accuracy improves while the staffs workload decreases. Xerox provides ongoing support of all system add-on modules, ensuring the court of a product that can continue to meet expectations now and in the future.
