• collaborate across Trusts to ensure visibility within a regional cluster

• stay on top of all legal, pensions, employment tax, HR and other advisory services

• have a real time audit trail with workers fixing engagement length, shift patterns, rates of pay, issuing contracts and handling payroll.

Workers will be able to:• submit timesheets from any

device, at any time• track payments made and

those still outstanding so they can be clear on what they will be paid and when

• have 24 hour access to all their information including PAYE and NIC, contracts, payslips and self bill invoices.

More and more people are taking advantage of the gig economy and choosing to work in ways that suit their home lives and organisations are increasingly choosing to embrace the benefits this brings to productivity, workforce planning and cost. Automation, AI and other technological and digital innovations are further forcing the pace of change and offering many more new ways of working and delivering services. Organisations in the health sector are facing this issue daily. Demand for care is constantly fluctuating as winter, and other crises, come down the path. Juggling a bank of temporary and flexible workers across all areas including IT, nursing, bank, interims, medical locums and AHPs is key. This is further complicated by compliance requirements when engaging with Personal Service Companies (PSCs) and the application of IR35 in the public sector. These areas are complex and can be expensive as well as time consuming to manage.

Flexible working is on the increase across the economy

1Building the blocks – Strengthening the out of hospital supply chain

Where it’s made a differenceWe worked with three London trusts to compliantly transition them across to our direct engagement model.

After transition we have worked with them to increase utilisation, boosting throughput to almost 100% and, therefore, maximising the full benefits of the tool. We developed bespoke reports for each trust which are delivered on a weekly basis, giving them absolute visibility over spend and with real time updates. The trusts use these reports as a to inform decisions, reduce agency spend and set appropriate budgets as a collaborative group. The easy mobile access has meant they can oversee all the detail they need from any location and any device and workers can submit their time ‘on the go’ and access payment information at any time, in any location.
