Tasting Notes: Wonderful dessert wine wit aromas of coconut and chocolate with hints of fig. Smooth rich flavors of caramelized fruit with a hint of spice that meld together for a soft, lingering finish.
Food Pairings: The flavor profiles of both salty cheese and sweet Port, while strong enough to stand up to each other, fall on opposite ends of the taste spectrum, acting as complements to each other. Another excellent contrast with a well-aged port is dark chocolate.
Winemakers/ Viticulture Notes: This barrel aged 12 year fine port-style sipping wine is dedicated to our father, who was an avid airplane lover and a very special part of our life. Flight 6.1.37 is his birth date. The DC3 plane was his favorite.
