Challenge and Eligibility

1. What is the FLIP National Challenge?

The FLIP National Challenge is an all India contest conducted by Finitiatives Learning India Private

Limited (FLIP) for business school students.

Students are required to write a FLIP certification exam in the area of their choice (Treasury & Capital

Markets/Corporate Banking-Products & Credit Analysis/Trade Finance and Cash

Management Services for final year students and Finance & Banking Fundamentals –

India/Wealth Advisor for 1st year students).

The exam must be written between 5th August 2015 and 26th September, 2015.

For Final Year Students

Apart from getting a job oriented, industry recognized FLIP Certificate, the Top Ten participants (for

final year students only) will get to attend a session on career in the relevant area by industry experts

and help in resume preparation by senior banker.

The Top Ten students (for final year students only) in Treasury and Capital Markets, Corporate

Banking RM and Credit Analysis and Trade Finance and Cash Management Services will get to

attend a role specific job interview with FLIP National Challenge Partners as per details below:

and 3rd positions respectively.

For First Year Students

Apart from getting a job oriented, industry recognized FLIP Certificate, the Top Ten participants will get

help in resume preparation from senior bankers.

To help them prepare for their interviews at their campus for summer internship projects, the Top Ten

participants in each area of Finance & Banking Fundamentals India and Wealth Advisor, would get to attend a mock interview with a senior banker.




The Top Three in each area will also get a cash prizes of INR 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000 for 1st, 2nd and

3rd positions respectively.

2. How can I participate in the FLIP National Challenge?

To participate in the FLIP National Challenge you need to follow the steps given below.

Step 1: Register: Visit www.learnwithflip.com and register. You need to activate the registration by

clicking on the link sent to your email.

Step 2: Enrol for the Challenge: On the home page of the website, click on the Challenge link. This

link will take you to a page where you can view details and enrol for the certification exam by paying an

all inclusive exam fee. This fee depends on the certification you choose and also includes cost of the

relevant online training course. Note that the enrolment process will close by 11th September 2015.

Step 3: Book Examination date: Select the examination center of your choice from the list of

available test centers across India; book the exam place, date and time according to your convenience.

**Please remember 26th September 2015 is the last date of writing the exam.

Seats at testing centers are limited, and are allotted on a first come first served basis. To ensure the

slot of your choice, please book your seat as soon as possible. The exam is computer based and

multiple choices, with negative marking.

Also the certification is a limited validity certification with expiry date of 24th September 2015 i.e. you

will have to book your examination slot by 24th September 2015. After 24th September 2015 the

booking link will not be available.

Step 4: Prepare for the exam: – Once you enrol for the challenge you will also get the relevant

training, which map onto the certifications. You can access this training anytime from anywhere. BE

PREPARED. THESE ARE RIGOROUS CERTIFICATIONS.

Step 5: On the exam day: - You will have to appear for the final exam on the booked date and time

at the selected center. The exam is a computer based online test conducted at FLIP test centers. You

will get the scores immediately on completion. If you have cleared the certification, you will get the

hard copy of the certificate within 15 working days of the results announced. Note that once a testing

slot to write the exam is booked it cannot be rescheduled – it will involve a cancellation and re-

enrolment.

Step 6: Results will be announced on 07th October 2015 on the website www.learnwithflip.com

and only the Top Ten (second year) candidates will be intimated through an email by FLIP. We will put

up the list of Top Ten (first year) and Top Ten (second/final year) certified candidates each certification.

**Please mention your correct email id and contact number, which you use frequently to ensure that

you do not miss any communication from FLIP. Also please enter your name, as you wish it to be

printed on your certificate.

Step 7: Send the confirmation mail back to FLIP confirming your willingness to attend the interviews,

along with the scanned copy of the following documents.

College Identity card

A bonafide certificate from your Institute confirming that you are a first year/final year student

of that institute.

Your latest resume with a PP size photograph.

3. What are the eligibility criteria to participate in the Challenge?

Any student who is pursuing a full time post graduate program in management from any recognized

Institute/University/Deemed university/Private University in India.

4. I am not an MBA student. Can I participate in the FLIP National Challenge?

Sorry, you are not eligible for the FLIP National Challenge. We invite you instead to write any of FLIP’s

industry endorsed certifications and enhance your resume. Visit http://www.learnwithflip.com/buy-

now.html for the full list of FLIP certifications.

5. Can I participate in more than one Certification?

Yes, you can write more than one certification exam. BUT, the final list of Top Ten participants (in

case of second year students) and Top Ten (in case of first year students) will be unique for

each Certification. If you feature among the Top Ten candidates in more than one subject, then you

will have to choose the Certification you wish to be featured in.

You will have to send an email within 12 hours of FLIP’s communication of results to you. If not, FLIP

will put your name in the Certification where you have a higher rank. If you have the same rank in two

or more Certifications, then FLIP will put your name as per the following priority -

Corporate Banking – Products & Credit Analysis

Trade Finance and Cash Management Services (CMS)

For first year participants FLIP will put your name as per the following priority -

6. I have purchased the regular FLIP certification in Corporate Banking Products & Credit

Analysis/ Trade Finance and Cash Management Services/Treasury & Capital

Markets/Finance & Banking Fundamentals India /Wealth Advisor, and I want to be

considered for the Challenge.

If you are eligible for the contest and have purchased, or purchased and written the regular FLIP

certifications within the contest period, then please email us at [email protected]

mentioning your full name, FLIP user ID and your college name. We will then include you in the

Challenge.

If you have purchased/accessed the regular FLIP certification/training/combo in any of the applicable

area before 05th August 2015 except Pre-book purchase, then you cannot participate in the

same area. However, you can participate in a different area.

For example, if you have purchased and/or accessed Trade Finance training before 5th August 2015

except under pre-booking scheme, you are not eligible to write the exam in Trade Finance & Cash

Management Services, but you can write the other two.

7. I have already purchased a regular training & certification combo and I want to participate

in the Challenge, how can I do that?

See question 6 above. Make sure you write the exam within the contest period.

Pre-Booking

1. What is Pre-booking and what are the advantages of it?

FLIP National Challenge starts from 05th August 2015, but the pre-booking starts on 01st August 2015.

During pre-booking period i.e. 01 - 04 Aug interested students can enroll for the challenge but the access

to the course/study material will be available only from 05th Aug 2015. However, there are various

advantages of enrolling during pre-book as follows:

1000 REWARD POINTS – every candidate who opts for pre-booking will get 1000 reward points,

which can be redeemed for purchase of any other FLIP program.

Candidates will get exciting gift vouchers that can be redeemed on www.amazon.com and

dominos.

FREE ACCESS to FLIP-NCFM Market Risk Program

2. I have enrolled and made the payment of required fee during pre-book but I cannot access

the course.

Don’t worry, as mentioned above during Pre-book period i.e. 01 – 04 Aug 2015, interested students can

enroll for challenge but they won’t be able to access the course, however they will get other benefits. The

access will be provided from 05th Aug onwards.

Enrolment

1. Is there any participation fee?

Yes, you need to pay a fee for participating in the challenge. The fee is inclusive of service tax and

covers the certification exam and the relevant FLIP online training course. The fees for the various

certifications are:

You can make the payment using Credit Card/Debit Card/ Internet Banking or Cash/Cheque/ DD.

2. How can I make the Cash/Cheque/DD payment?

To make a cash/cheque/DD payment, select ‘cash/cheque/DD’ as the mode of payment, while making

your purchase on the website. Then, download the deposit slip. You need to deposit the cash/cheque/

DD at the nearest Axis Bank Branch along with this deposit slip only.

The Cheque/DD should be drawn in favour of “Finitiatives Learning India Private Limited” and a

DD should be payable at Mysore.

3. Once I pay the examination fee, will I get any study material?

Yes, you will get the relevant online study material for the preparation. This course will be

available online 24 hours and can be accessed from anywhere. You will also get a Diagnostic Test,

which is similar to the Certification exam, to test your preparation.

4. When is the last date to enrol for the FLIP National Challenge?

The last date to enrol for the FLIP National challenge is 11th September 2015. However, you

should enrol as soon as possible, to get more time for your preparation, as well as ensure you get the

exam slot of your choice. The last week/s typically get booked up first.

Examination

1. What is the date of the examination?

FLIP certifications exams are multiple choice, and are run at proctored centers across India, 4

times/day, 6 days/week. You can choose the date and time according to your convenience. But

remember the last date of writing the exam is 26th September 2015. Also note that we cannot

guarantee you a specific slot. So please book your slot at the earliest.

2. Where can I write the examination?

The certification exam is computer based, and can be written at any of the test centers mentioned in

the link below. Click the link to see the details.

You can book a slot on a date, time and in a center of your choice, based on availability. The above

list of center is as on 31 July 2015.

3. When is the last date to book the certification exam date?

The last date of booking the examination slot to write the exam is 24th September 2015, after which

the booking link will not be available. If you fail to book your test slot to write the exam before 24th

September 2015, you will have to pay the regular certification exam fee again and you will not be a

part of the contest.

Therefore, we recommend that as soon as you enrol for the FLIP National Challenge you, should book

the date.

The booking starts from 5th August 2015. You can book any date to write the exam from 07th August

2015 to 26th September 2015 (Both dates inclusive).

However, you should book the date at the earliest as the seats are allotted on first come first

served basis. If you delay the booking, you may not get your preferred date/time/center.

4. Can I change/reschedule my exam date/time/venue?

No, you cannot reschedule/change your examination date. Once you book a test slot and if you cannot

attend the exam for any reason, it is treated as a cancellation. There are no refunds for a cancellation.

You will need to re-enrol and pay the exam fee of INR 855 (Rupees eight hundred and fifty five only)

again.

5. I have cleared the regular FLIP certification in Corporate Banking Products & Credit

Analysis/ Trade Finance and Cash Management Services/Treasury & Capital

Markets/Finance & Banking Fundamentals –India and I want to be considered for the

Challenge.

If you are eligible for the contest and have purchased or purchased and written the regular FLIP

certifications within the contest period, then please email us, at [email protected]

mentioning your full name and FLIP user ID. We will then include you in the Challenge.

If you have purchased/accessed the regular FLIP certification/training/combo in any of the applicable

area before 05th August 2015 except pre-book purchase, then you cannot participate in the same area.

6. Can I take the same Challenge certification more than once within the contest period?

No, a participant can write the certification only once in a particular area, during the contest period. If

she/he takes the same certification more than once, she/he will be disqualified/moved out of the FLIP

Challenge.

7. When will I get my certificate?

Certificates to all FLIP certified candidates will be sent within 15 working days of announcement of

results of the FLIP National Challenge 2015.





PPIs and Cash Prizes:

1. Do I get a Job Guarantee?

Read this carefully. At no time does FLIP offer any job guarantees on behalf of any other

organization. What the FLIP Challenge offers, is an opportunity to participate in the two Challenge

Partners’ recruitment process?

2. I am among top 3 in the shortlist. Am I eligible for the cash prize if I don’t attend the PPIs?

Yes. You are eligible for the cash prize even if you opt out of the interview process. However in such

case you will not be a part of final Top Ten (second year) candidates eligible for interviews. Also you

will not be allowed to attend any of the sessions or mock interviews. In such case the list of candidates

will move one step up.

3. I was on the second position, but was moved to first position because the participant who

was at the first position opted out. Will I get the cash prize for the first position or the

second position? Cash prizes will be distributed on the basis of All India Rank in a subject, therefore even if you are

moved to the first position among Top Ten participants eligible for interview process, but still your rank

remains second, hence you will be eligible for the INR 30000 (final year candidates).

4. I have passed the exam; do I get the interview guidance session and help in resume

preparation?

The interview guidance sessions and resume preparation is guaranteed for candidates who are eligible

for interviews, only.

5. If I secure a position in final Top Ten of Trade Finance & Cash Management Services; will I

get PPIs with Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank both?

Top Ten participants in Trade Finance and Cash Management Services & Treasury and Capital Markets

are eligible for PPI with Reliance Industries only and participants in Corporate Banking RM and Credit

Analysis and eligible for PPIs with HDFC Bank only.

Campus/Bulk Testing

1. What is Campus testing?

To enable participation from candidates in B-Schools based in a city where FLIP does not have its test

center, FLIP offers the option of on Campus Testing. Under Campus Testing, FLIP offers to conduct a

paper based exam at the institute campus to facilitate the testing process, provided there are at least

50 enrollments from the institute.

2. I want Campus testing to be done in my college. What is the process for it?

You need to contact the placement cell in your college and ask them to get in touch with us for Campus

Testing. Remember, we have very few slots for Campus Testing and they will be given on first come

first serve basis.




3. Who will provide the infrastructure for Campus Testing?

To conduct Campus Testing FLIP will send its representatives to the institute campus. FLIP will provide

only the question papers and the answer sheets required for the exam. Any other infrastructure

required to conduct the exam like, rooms/halls, furniture, Laptop charging points etc. will have to be

provided by the Institute.

4. I had booked a certification date before my college was declared as a Campus testing

center. What do I do?

Once the Campus Testing is scheduled for any institute, no candidate from that institute can write the

exam at the FLIP center. If you have already booked a test slot, your booking will be cancelled and you

will have to write the exam at your institute. Please check whether your college's name is on the list of

Campus testing centers before you book the exam date.

FLIP Institute Championship:

1. What is the Institute championship? Is it different from the FLIP National Challenge?

The Institute Championship is a part of the FLIP National Challenge 2015. The Institute with the best

performing students will win the championship.

The winning institute will be declared the Best B-School in finance by FLIP and receive the Institute

Championship Trophy from FLIP.

Apart from above all the students of that institute will get access to one course from the defined list of

FLIP’s award winning courses for one month, free of cost.

The Institute will also be shown on Hall of Fame page on FLIP’s website.

2. How will the winning Institute be decided?

The winner will be decided on the basis of total points earned by students of the institute, during the

Challenge. You can earn points for your college in the following manner:

Scoring Criteria:

Enrol for FLIP National Challenge 2015 and earn 10 points for your college.

Clear the certification exam and earn an additional 100 points.

Get 75% or above, earn FLIP’s Badge of Excellence AND additional 200 points.

Secure a position in the top 10 and earn an additional 300 points.

This way you can score up to 610 points for your college, if you participate in the FLIP National

Challenge and secure a position in TOP 10 in one of the subjects, scoring >= 75%. The Final score for

each institute will be calculated on the basis of the above parameters.




FLIP Institute Championship - Participation

3. How do I participate in the FLIP Institute Championship?

To participate in the championship you need to enrol for the FLIP National Challenge 2015. Once you enrol,

your college is automatically registered for the Institute Championship.

4. How can my college participate in the Championship?

See Above.

5. How do I register my college for the championship and is there any registration fee for the

college?

See above. There is no registration fee for the college; a college gets automatically registered for the

Championship as soon as one of its students enrolls for the FLIP National Challenge 2015.

6. What do I need to do to make my college win this championship?

The institute with the higher points wins the Championship. Higher the participation, and better the

performance of the students, higher is the chance of winning. Points are earned for

Clearing the exam

Scoring 75% or above (Badge of Excellence)

Securing a position in the TOP 10.

7. If I am in the top 10, how many points do I gather for my Institute?

If you have scored 75% or above, you will earn 610 (10+100+200+300) points for your institute, else,

410 (10+100+300).

8. If I am in the top 10 rank in 2 subjects, how many points do I earn for my Institute?

If you secure positions in top 10 rank of two subjects you will score 1220 points, provided you score 75%

or above in both the Certifications.

For scoring, every enrollment is counted as unique. For example, if a student enrols himself/herself for 2

Certifications in the FLIP Challenge, then the college will earn 20 (2×10) points for participation.

9. I am already a registered candidate; I don't remember what college name I mentioned

during registration. Can I check/update this? If so where can I check/update this?

10. Will my previous FLIP certifications be counted for the Institute Championship?

No. Only FLIP Challenge Certifications will be considered. If you have cleared any other regular FLIP

certification, it will not be counted. You should have participated in FLIP Challenge 2015 and written the

exam during the FLIP Challenge 2015.





FLIP Institute Championship – Awards

11. What will I get if my college wins?

a) You will get free access to a course of your choice; you can select one course from the defined list

of FLIP’s award winning courses.

b) You college will be declared as the best B-School in Finance and receive the prestigious FLIP

Institute Championship Trophy.

c) Your college will be showcased on the Hall of Fame Page on www.learnwithflip.com along with TOP

10 winners of the FLIP National Challenge 2015.

12. What are the courses that I can take, if my college wins? Will I get to choose my course or

FLIP will allot me the course?

You will be given access to only one course from the list of courses. Following are the lists of courses

available for First Year and Final Year students. You can choose any one of the following courses.

13. How will I get access to these free courses?

Once your institute wins the championship, we will contact your institute for the list of interested

students. Please make sure that your name is in the list of interested candidates. Every candidate will

have to indicate the name of the course s/he is interested in, along with the email ID and registered

username with www.learnwithflip.com.

Once the list is received from the college we will assign the respective courses to students.

14. Will I get any books or study material for the free course I choose?

All the FLIP training material is in the form of e-learning modules that can be accessed online only.

Summaries are provided in downloadable form.

15. In case more than one B-School scores the same points, how will the winner be decided?

In such a case the winner will be decided on the basis of the following tie-breaking criteria in the given

order:

1. Highest number of students in the Top 10

2. Highest number of students earning the Badge of Excellence (>=75%)

3. Highest number of students clearing the certifications.




16. Will my college or I get any certificate for this Championship?

No. You will not get any Certificate, if your college wins. Your college will receive the prestigious FLIP

Institute Championship trophy. However, if you have participated in the Challenge and cleared the

exam, you will receive the certificate for the same.

17. I have cleared my exam and my college has won the Championship, will I get 2

certificates?

No. You will receive only one certificate for the area that you have cleared the exam. See above.

18. How do I know which college has won or when will the result of championship be

announced?

Details of the participating institutes and their scores as on date, will be updated daily on the FLIP

Challenge Buzz, at the FLIP Challenge site - see www.learnwithflip.com. The final result will be

announced along with the results of FLIP National Challenge 2015.

19. Which institutes have won the institute championship till now?

IIM - Lucknow were crowned the Institute Champions in FLIP National Challenge 2011. 75 students

from the college accessed courses worth INR 2.25 Lakh.

NMIMS, Mumbai – won the Institute Championship Trophy in the year 2012 & 2014 and was offered the

award winning, job oriented FLIP training.

MDI – Gurgaon won the championship in 2013.
