The Difference!
Million Dollar Question!
Some lessons are good for flipping and others are NOT!!!!
Please brainstorm with a partner/group (preferably someone in the same discipline) on:
What lessons would benefit from using flipping? Try to be specific...for instance a lesson on sentence combining using a semi-colon would be awesome to flip...then class time could be used for practicing this!!!!
Quick Examples
One-take screencasts

Some Simple Tips on Making Videos!
use conversational tone (natural...like you would do if you were doing it in front of class)
jokes are good, especially if you have inside jokes with your class--they love it
5-10 minutes max, but anything less than 10 is best (think attention span)
images are good if relevant (try not to use things that are distracting)
one take if possible (don’t waste time re-recording all the time...just naturally correct yourself if you make a mistake)
BEST if done with your VOICE!!!!!! Kids benefit from hearing it!!!!
Your Turn!
With a partner...create a 1-5 minute flipped lesson on something simple. Use the tools that you are familiar with: powerpoint, keynote, iMovie, smart
notebook
Be ready (EXCITED) to share your amazingness!!!
