Flipping a Math Classroom
Without losing your mind!
Presented by

How we made it work
1) Prep a lesson like normal.
2) Record the lesson as a video.
3) Make the video accessible to our students.
4) Use class time to watch the video.*
5) Practice/apply what they watched.
Trial and Error• Students work great in pairs. (If you do groups pick their groups.)
• It really helped having guided notes for students to fill in as they
watch the video.
• Always have a back up plan for when the internet isn’t working.
• Be prepared for some students to give you friction.
• Plan ahead for early finishers.
