flissade schafft einen vollkommen neuartigen Wohnraum, der je nach Bedarf sowohl Innen- als auch Außenraum sein kann. Freiräume werden in den Wohnraum integrier- und damit ganzjährig nutzbar. Durch das innovative Raumkonzept wird neben Balkon, Loggia und Wintergarten eine vollkommen neue Kategorie an persönlichem Außenraum eingeführt. Mit dem Gedanken an eine bewegliche Fassade war die Grundidee zu flissade geboren. Über eine u-förmige Schiene lassen sich die Verglasungselemente innerhalb der Gebäudehülle so verfahren, dass ein Freiraum jederzeit zu einem vollwertigen Wohnraum gewandelt werden kann. Die Verglasung übernimmt dabei in zwei unterschiedlichen Positionen die Funktion der vollwertigen Klimahülle und schafft somit einen wandelbaren Raum. Zudem können die Elemente gänzlich zur Seite geschoben werden um den Raum vollkommen zu öffnen.

flissade creates a completely new form of living space that can be flexibly used as outside as well as interior room. It allows for the integration of outdoor areas into interior living spaces and therefore their usage throughout the year. The innovative room concept adds a completely new category of personal outdoor space usage to the existing forms of balcony, loggia and sunroom. The basic component of flissade is a moveable facade. Window elements can be moved via a u-shaped track within the building envelope in a way so that outdoor spaces can be turned into fully usable living spaces at any time. The glazing works as a climate skin in two positions and thus creates this convertible space. Furthermore the elements can entirely be placed along the side walls so that the room is completely open.

In its inner position, flissade provides for a spacious loggia. However, the window elements can be moved along the guide-rails into the outer position and thus can transform the outdoor space into a fully usable living space. The cold season so far has made a loggia a place that is rarely used. However, flissade incorporates the loggia to the interior space of the apartment whenever needed. The living space therefore adapts to the needs of the inhabitant of the house.

Die Verglasungselemente können zu jeder Zeit entlang der Schienen in die außenliegende Position bewegt werden, der Freiraum wird dabei zum vollwertigen Wohnraum gewandelt. Bei schlechtem Wetter oder während der kalten Jahreszeit ist die Loggia bisher kaum nutzbar. Die Wohnung kann nun jederzeit um den Bereich der Loggia vergrößert werden und passt sich somit den unmittelbaren Bedürfnissen ihres Bewohners an.

In its outer position, flissade enlarges the flat by the loggia barrier-free. A bright atmosphere makes a living space pleasant and enhances the well being of its inhabitant. The handling of the window elements can be done either by hand or electronically. Usage of the elements does not require much operating space so that the furniture can stay where it is. Cleaning of the elements is easy when they are in their inner position as both sides can be reached without a problem. At the same time, the interior space is shaded during the summer and is protected against overheating. The inhabitant can use their living space with a flexibility that is unprecedented. For instance, if the inhabitants choose to have their dining area in the loggia, the apartment can be used more efficiently as there is no need for an additional dining room. This leads to a completely new quality in the usage of the living space in question – it is enlarged yet transformable into a spacious private outdoor room at any time.

Bei außenstehender Position wird die Wohnung schwellenlos um den Bereich der Loggia vergrößert. Ein heller und lichtdurchfluteter Wohnraum steigert das Wohlbefinden des Bewohners. Bei außenstehender Verglasung werden in der kalten Jahreszeit die solaren Zugewinne in den Wohnräumen optimiert. Im Gegensatz zu einer herkömmlichen Loggia, bei der die meiste Sonneneinstrahlung im Außenraum auftrifft und somit verloren geht, holt flissade die Sonnenenergie in die Wohnung und steigert somit die solaren Zugewinne während der Heizperiode erheblich. Zusätzlich reduziert sich bei der fassadenbündigen Position die Hüllfläche des Gebäudes auf ein Minimum, das A/V-Verhältnis wird optimiert und die Transmissionswärmeverluste werden effektiv verringert. Die Steigerung der solaren Zugewinne bei gleichzeitiger Reduzierung der Wärmeverluste führt im Vergleich zur herkömmlichen Loggia zu einer deutlichen Energieeinsparung. When the glazing is in its outer position, flissade optimizes the solar gains in the living space during the cold season. In contrast to a common loggia, where most insolation hits the outdoor area and thus gets lost, flissade takes the sun energy into the room and thus increases the solar gains during the heating period perceptibly. When the glazing is put in its outer position, the building envelope is reduced to a minimum, the surface-to-volume ration is optimized and the heat loss is effectively reduced. Together, the increase of the solar gains and the reduction of the heat loss lead to drastic energy savings compared to common loggias. During the summer, flissade provides the ideal self-shading effects of a loggia and thus prevents the living space from heating up.
