    Connect the FlowCon FAC6HP commissioningmetertoavalvebythefollowingsteps:

    1. Ensurethattheisolatingvalveoneachtubeis closed and that the equalizing valve on the sideofthecommissioningmeterisfullyopen.2. Connect each tube (recommended opposite endoftheisolatingvalves,thoughitdoesnot matterwhichend)withap/tneedle.3. Removemetalprotectioncapsonp/tneedles.4. Put the p/t needles into the p/t plugs on the valvethatistobemeasured.(Theredtubeis tobeconnectedtothe inletsideof thevalve andthebluetubewiththeoutletside)5. Remove black plastic protection caps on commissioningmeter.6. Attachthetubestothecommissioningmeter. (Matchingthecolors)7. Opentheisolatingvalvesonthetubes.(This willcausewatertoflowthroughthetubesand commissioning meter and thus for a short whilebypassingthevalve)8. Closetheisolatingvalves.9. Pressanybuttontoturnonthecommissioning meter and then press the ZERO button on thecommissioningmeter.10.Opentheisolatingvalvesagain.11.Closetheequalizingvalveonthesideof the commissioningmeter.

    Ifthecommissioningmeterissubjectedtoextremetemperaturechangese.g.iftransferredfromahottoacoldsystem(oropposite)orifthecommissioningmeterhasbeenstoredinacoldenvironmentandisusedinawarmsystem(oropposite),itmightbenecessaryforthecommissioningmetertostabilizeatthenewtemperaturebeforezeroing(point9inthe above list). The time necessary to stabilize,dependonthetemperaturedifference.

    To disconnect the commissioning meter followthesesteps:1. Open the equalizing valve. (this will cause water toflowthroughthetubesandcommis- sioningmeter and thus for a short while by- passingthevalve)2. Closetheisolatingvalves.3. Ifneededdisconnectthetubesfromthecom- missioningmeter.4. Removethep/tneedlesfromthep/tplugson thevalve.5. Ifneededdisconnectthep/tneedlesfromthe tubes.6. Whenfinishedreplaceprotectioncapsonboth p/tneedlesandcommissioningmeter.

    Changing battery. To change thebattery, first turnoff the com- missioningmeter. Thenremovethelidfromthelowerpartofthe back of the commissioning meter by un- screwingthetwoscrews(thescrewdriverfrom thecarrycasematchesthescrews)andlifting thelidoff. Detachthetwoconnectorsfromtheoldbattery andconnectthemtothenewbattery. Putthelidbackonandfastenthetwoscrews. The normal operating time for a standard alkaline9V6LR61batteryis20hours.

    Optional software. For largesystemsorsystemsincludingFlowConwafers,theoptionalsoftwareforthecommissioningmeterisrecommended.The software offers a possibility of setting upvalvesconsistingofmultiplevalvecartridges liketheFlowConWafers.Awafer includesanumberofStainlessSteelcartridgesanditsflowdependssolelyonthecharacteristicofthesecartridges.Furthermore the software provides an option oforganizing thegroupsandvalves in thememoryincludingcustomnamingandupto2000memorylocationsintotal.

    General.It is recommended flushing the system beforeinstalling the insert in the valve body. Suitableflushing caps are available. Water must alwaysbesuitabletreated,cleanandfreeofdebris.It isrecommendedthatastrainerbeinstalledpriortothe valve body to prevent damage or blockageduetodebris.Ensurethat thevalve isnot inthefully closedpositionwhen filling the systemwithwater.
