Daily Handwriting:Choose a selection of words from the Year 3 statutory spelling list provided last week. Your challenge is to practise writing a selection of these words each day. You can use the handwriting paper which I have attached to help you if you wobble.

Project Work:

History(final week

of this challenge)

Our enquiry question for this half term is:

‘Who were the Ancient Egyptians?’

Your challenge over the next few weeks is to find out more about the Ancient Egyptians. I would like you to choose something which you would like to find out

more about such as clothing, homes, Gods or even Tutankhamun.I would like you to research your chosen topic and then create something which

celebrates the learning which you have completed. This doesn’t necessarily need to be a piece of writing; it could be a model, picture or even some food! You really

can be as creative as you would like.Have fun and I look forward to seeing your learning.

Art This year Children’s Art Week will take place online, at home and in schools across three weeks in June and July. Each week will focus on a special theme. They start this week! Take a look below at this week’s activity:

Week 1- The Natural WorldUsing materials from around the home — from empty card board packaging to old clothes or craft materials such as paint — make some super British Wild Animals that you can use as a window display or perhaps even turn into stick puppets. The animals are based on three British wild animals: the red squirrel, badger and hedgehog. This activity is aimed at children and families and includes lots of ideas of how to add and adapt the activity to suit whoever is taking part. Use the pack provided on a separate PDF.

Take photographs of your British Wild Animals and send them to:  [email protected] I can’t wait to see them!

P.S.H.E. HAPPINESS IS… Think about the science of happiness; our brains are in charge of our feelings and emotions and release ‘feel good’ chemicals. The fantastic news is that there are things we can all do to trigger our brains to release these ‘feel good’ chemicals. Think about what makes you happy. Different things make different people happy, these could be spending time with your family, listening to music, going on holiday, being part of a club or doing a hobby, working hard to achieve a goal?

Create a poem titled Happiness is……
