Dolezar by Ella, Garnet

Here in Emmanuel School we pride ourselves

with the beautiful flowers and herbs we

grow. Our school is decorated with variety

of flowers pots, which are based in the

playground. Moreover, we have a wide range

of herbs that we grow in our balconies. The

children in Gardening Club have even grown

vegetables, like juicy carrots, delicious

strawberries and healthy leeks. “Gardening

club is fun, all the children love it, and we

have even made fresh mint tea from the

mint leaves we grew” said Mrs Dolezar.

The Express kitchen by Rohan, Sapphire

Lasagne You will need:

2 onions

4 gloves of garlic

500 g minced beef

Tomato puree

1 can of chopped tomatoes

4 regular tomatoes

1 single cream

1 tsp flour

Grated Cheese

Mixed herbs/oregano

Lasagne sheets

Fry the onions and the garlic over a medium fire until they soften and become golden.

Add two teaspoons of tomato puree, and two teaspoons or mixed herbs.

Add the beef and try until brown.

Cut the tomatoes into quarters and add.

Add the chopped tomatoes. Reduce the fire and let the whole thing cook.

In the meantime, pour the single cream into a pan and cook slowly.

Add some grated cheese into the cream, and a few teaspoons or flour until it becomes a white

sauce.

Let it boil, and then simmer.

Take the beef and layer it with the white sauce, and some lasagne sheets, in an oven dish.

Continue layering beef, white sauce, and lasagne sheet, until all the beef is used up. In your

final layer, add some lasagne sheets, and layer some white sauce, and sprinkle with grated

cheese.

Cover with aluminium foil. Cook for 20 minutes at 180 degrees with the foil, and then remove

the foil and cook for another 30 minutes without. Remove from the oven - remember to get a

grown up to turn the oven off! And enjoy your lasagne.
