Editing Of Photos When editing my photos I didn’t really want a lot of graphics or other images on them, I wanted to keep it quite simple for the ASOS look book I have produced so that the attention will be drawn to the clothes and the trend of the clothes. The steps I took to edit the photos
were: • Changing the brightness of them
• Changing the temperature of the photos • Adding a colour tint to them
• Changing the sharpness • Changing the de-noise of them
• Changing the exposure and contrast • Then finally I added the asos logo by using photo shop
which is shown in pictures in the next slide. I wouldn’t change what I done to edit the photos as I am quite happy with the results of them the only thing is the time management as I would have liked to spend more time
editing as I felt a bit rushed.
Evidence of Editing Photos
Here it shows how
I am inserting the ASOS logo onto my photo
and resizing it so it fits in with the photo.
Showing the editing of image 10 – dragging the ASOS logo in the separate window over to the photo to enable editing
For this particular photo some of it had to be cropped to get rid of the floor on the photo. This is evidence of using the
cropping tool and how it has been successful.
Most of the floor has been erased however I could not get rid of it all as it could have ruined the actual
picture
This displays how big the ASOS logo is when it is first placed onto the picture and shows how it is vital that it is resized otherwise it blocks up the
whole picture.
When adding the ASOS logo onto my photos I felt that for some of them that they would look better without the white
background on the logo. This is evidence of using the magic eraser to get rid of the white background and is proved that it
is successful from my final photos.

The middle of the A is highlighted to show this part of the logo I want to remove
Evaluation Of My Range Plan
I am pleased with the outcome of my range plan. I feel that it fits in with my customer profile and the ASOS brand as the pieces in the collection are quite unique and a bit quirky and anyone can wear the
clothes to fit their style. I enjoyed the process of making the range. It took thorough research about the ASOS company and finding the right CADs to go with my trend for S/S 14 . I found all of my CADs on the trend forecasting website WGSN, this website had a huge selection but I was able to narrow it down to the ones that would be most suitable. I never really had many problems with creating the
range the only difficulty I would say I had with it was when it came to the editing on photo shop. As when I was editing them some of the clothes never went the way I pictured them too, however I overcame this and made them work. The things that I would change about my range, would maybe to have a few more pieces in the collection and to have possibly done a separate accessory range to go with it. However I wouldn’t have added a lot more to the range as it is
limited unique pieces, it would’ve taken too long to make multiples of each piece. Also if I had more time I would have liked to try the other trend I researched ‘Digital Fantasy’ to see what my collection
could have looked like when focused on that trend.

Pricing Strategy When working out the pricing
strategy I had used my comp shop and by also looking on ASOS and
their competitors websites for how much I was going to price each
garment. After that knowing the RRP price and having 65% margin i was able to work out the buying price using a website called kamcity.com where I used their kamcalculator. In the slides below it will show the pricing for each garment.
How The Pricing Strategy Is In-Line With The Competition?
The pricing strategy is in-line with the competition as they are in the middle between their competitors. As the competitors on the
highstreet like Topshop and Urban Outfitters are have slightly higher or more or less similar prices as the quality of all our products are
good where as a competitor like www.missguided.co.uk would be have lower prices – yet the clothes that would be sold on ASOS would be better quality than miss guided.

Overall I wouldn’t have changed what I have chosen for my FMP as I am happy with my final outcome of everything. The only thing that I would change is to have been more focused in the first few weeks so then I would’ve had more time to to concentrate on the editing of my range and also have had more time with my photo shoot. The main problems that occurred during my FMP was of course the technical difficulties when it came to the photo shoot and the studio being booked up but also as part of my styling side to my FMP I said I would try and get some work experience with the styling people in shop direct. However this was unsuccessful as I did contact them and they said at the time when I asked them they were not able to have me then but would contact me when they had space available but I never heard anything back from them. So instead of waiting round for their reply I just got on with the rest of my FMP so I would
not fall behind. I also changed my mind from making a style e-look book to just a normal hard copy look book as I did not have enough
time to create this on the website ‘Blurb’. Conclusively I feel like I have met most of what I set out to do in my project proposal and hopefully my final outcome will help me towards my long term goals of getting into the buying industry and also benefit me during my time in University from the many skills I
have gained from this whole project.
