FRIENDS OF THE OLDHAM COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARIES December 14, 2011

President Tony Acree called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In attendance were officers Tony, Mary and Faye, Program Chair Linda Goin, FOCPL Board member Hugh Blair and four Friends members. The Green River Writers, www.greenriverwriters.org, gave a history of the group and presented some of their poetry. Tony reported that he has received comments back from the state on our 501(c)(3) application. The December 15 meeting scheduled to go over the paperwork has been cancelled and will be moved to next month. Linda Goin announced that another Pitch the Publishers Day is being planned in September 2012 by Lynn Tincher of Otherworld Publications. Faye Frank reported as of December 1, 2011 there is a balance of $7,843.70, Petty Cash of $73.98 and Bookstore receipts of $64.47. Faye also reported two new members. The November 9 Minutes were approved on a motion by Linda Goin. Events Chair Sally Lackner manned the Welcome Table at the Library's December Open House. There will be a member Art Show in the spring Tony reminded us that all three Wishing Trees still contain ornaments for purchase..
