For our audience feedback we produced a Facebook group where we added some friends and asked them to watch our music video and answer five questions about it. The questions were:

1. How do you feel about the visual design of our music video?2. How effective would this video be in encouraging you to purchase

the artists products?3. Is the video effective in addressing a clear target audience?4. What did you enjoy most about the music video?5. Do you feel that the video can be improved in any way? If so, how?

Here are some of our responses:

From the feedback we received, we had a range of positive points, negative points and ways we could improve our video. From our feedback, we found that the audience particularly enjoyed the visual design of our music video, saying that it fit in well with the typical conventions of a music video and especially a performance music video. The audience also stated that the visual design is unique, interesting and professional due to the combination of still and handheld shots. From our feedback the audience also stated that video is effective in encouraging the audience to go on to wanting to know more about the artist and purchasing their products. They said that this is due to the sophisticated editing and because the video mainly focuses on the artists and their music so the audience have an insight of who the artist is and what they are about from just one video. The target audience of our music video is indie rock fans in the 17-30 age range, due to the age of the band members themselves, the target audience is reflected, which has been stated in the audience feedback. The main things the audience from the feedback seemed to enjoy were the range of shots and the after effects, which tells us as a group that we have done these things effectively and not much change needs to be made as that it what the audience have enjoyed

From looking at the audience feedback, I have found that some negative points from the video are that it is only set in one location. As I

stated in question 1, we decided to do the video in one location so we could spend more time perfecting the video and the shots in that location rather than spending a lot of time switching between locations. However, I can see how this can get quite boring to an audience and if other locations were introduced, it may make the video a lot more interesting and exciting. If I was to film the music video again, this is something I would strongly consider. I would still use the location we originally used, however consider using an indoor space or a different outdoor space such as the city center which is somewhere that has a completely different atmosphere to the location we used. Another comment made was that it would be nice to see more instruments in the music video. As we produced a performance video, more instruments may have made the video more attractive to the audience and also fit into the typical conventions of a performance music video more. Lastly, from our audience feedback we realized that the shots weren’t as tightly synced with the song lyrics as we originally thought, and looking back we did realize that a few shots could’ve been synced more clearly and effectively.
