The Warren Commission
Purpose: investigate the assassination of JFK.
Findings: Kennedy was assassinated by Oswald and that Oswald acted alone.

Civil Rights Movement
Civil Rights Act of 1964
- Banned racial segregation in public education facilities
- Prohibited discrimination in jobs and housing
Voting Rights Act of 1965
- Outlawed poll taxes, literacy test, and other ways to prevent southern blacks from voting.
The Great Society
Purpose- Eradicate poverty- Improve quality of life for ALL AMERICANS
Expanded the Welfare State and included the initiatives such as The War on Poverty.
