The CIDAN folding machine model KMS is manufactured in a sturdy all-welded steel construction and as a standard feature both the folding
beam and clamping beam have dual-side drives.
• A strong eccentric that eliminates wear and tear moves the clamping beam and gives the best possible opening and closing speeds.
• KMS is delivered with the CNC-control BasicLink.

KMS
CONTROL SYSTEMBASICLINKBasic Link is a very easy control system with a limited number of functions. The Line by Line programming is done via touch screen with
clear symbols for normal folding or hemming mode. Folding parameters can easily be changed.
BasicLink has the possibility to store 99 programs with 99 steps. In every program step angle, gauge dimension, opening height and hem
functions can be stored. Other functions are parts counter, clock and operation information for the operator.
BACK GAUGESBBGThis back gauge is only for model KMS and it is designed to position and
support the sheet when folding. The back gauge fingers are made of turnable
spring steel to be able to position down to 2 mm and the tools are completely
smooth without indentations to enable folding without leaving marks on the
sheet.

repair workshops, sheet-metal

• As a standard feature the machine is supplied with a CNC-control and as option various motorized back gauges. K25 can also be
equipped with our unique Combi clamping beam. The Combi clamping beam with automatic locking makes it possible to change tools in
less than 10 seconds. Tool changes are programmed directly in the control, and thus the tool change is made automatically.
• An eccentric drive that minimizes wear and gives the best possible opening and closing speeds drives the clamping beam. This also gives
the best possible clamping pressure of 13 tons (14US).
• The clamping beam opens as the folding beam returns so they are positioned for the next step simultaneously to save operative time.

CIDAN folding machine MEGAPRO is built in a sturdy and solid construction, which is important to be able to fold perfect details in 6 mm
(1/4") steel or 4 mm (9ga.) stainless steel (applies on 3100 mm (122") folding length). The sturdy beams withstand the powerful folding
forces by means of a very strong construction. CIDAN model MEGAPRO has many intelligent automatic functions like adjustment of sheet
thickness, folding center and crowning. MEGAPRO also has an automatic tool locking-system as a standard feature.
• Dual servo driven motors for both clamping and folding beams gives an incredibly fast speed and accuracy. Great clamping pressure of
60 tons (66US) for accurate forming

SQUARING ARM
Makes positioning of large and narrow parts easier. Available in two lengths
1500mm and 3000mm for left and/or right hand side.

BALL TRANSFERS
Facilitates positioning of large parts and reduces the risk of scratching the
material. Ball transfers are included as standard on SBG back gauge
MOVEABLE FOOT SWITCH ON RAIL
Simplifies movement of the foot switch. Appropriate when folding is done
on several places along the working width of the machine. Especially
recommended if the machine is equipped with Multifold. Also, great safety
feature when bolted to the floor. When operator engages foot pedal, they
are away from the upcoming folding beam.
TOOL CART
For storage of divided tools. Decreases the risk of damages on the tools
and facilitates tool changes for the operator. It is possible to store divided
rails on the cart and there is room for hand tools for the operators and
machine instructions. The cart is equipped with lockable wheels and pull
handles. Especially recommended if the machine is equipped with Multifold.
LASER SAFETY SCANNER
When operating from the front, the scanner protects in two zones since
it allows different opening heights depending on where the operator is.
When operating from the rear of machine, the machine automatically stops
it a person moves in to the safety area in front of the machine.

ECCENTRIC DRIVE OF THE CLAMPING BEAM
A strong eccentric that eliminates wear, moves the clamping beam and
gives the best possible opening and closing speeds. When clamping,
the eccentric gives a very high clamping pressure, which is a great ad-
vantage when hemming.

MULTIFOLD
Divided tooling for maximum flexibility in every situation!
The lower beam tool is segmented and the back gauge is
adjustable vertically (as option). This caters to parts that
have flanges facing downward into the machine. The fold-
ing beam rail is also segmented which allows the operator
to bend weld tabs and parts with interrupted bend lines.
The Multifold tooling system is normally ordered with the
Combi beam, depending on specific model.

CROWNING
Crowning is an important feature to obtain a perfectly folded part; therefore all of our machines are equipped
with crowning. If the material is thick or thin, soft aluminum or hard stainless steel, short or long or if they
should be folded in the middle of the machine or to the side, the results are always straight and correct. De-
pending on the machine model they are equipped with manual or automatic crowning.

COMBI BEAM (ORIGINAL) AUTOMATIC TOOL CHANGER
We invented and developed the rotating clamping beam, which now is a well-known automatic system for tool changes. The first ad-
vantage you will realize is how extremely easy and fast tools can be changed. You will also notice the generous space around the tools.
When folding large parts from the back of the machine, you will have an abundance of free space behind the clamping beam and tools. A
complete set of divided upper beam tooling for the Combi beam is included, with various shapes and heights as option (model dependent).
Mechanical locking of the Combi beam and a mechanical tooling lock makes it exceptionally easy to change tools. The Combi beam offers
flexibility like no other tooling system, appropriate when folding all types of parts. The tool change is programmed in the control system.
When it is time to change tools the upper beam will automatically raise to its maximum height and the automatic rotation maneuver is
done via the operator's foot pedal.

LBGThe back gauge is designed to position the work piece so exact dimensions are obtained on the folded sheet. The back gauge supports
the sheet when positioning and folding so that the operator does not have to hold it. The front stop units are in spring steel as a standard
feature. Solid front stop units are optional. A servo motor and a belt drive in both sides drive the gauge. It takes less than two seconds to
get an exact positioning of the gauge between 2 and 1000 mm (.080"–39.4"). The stop units can be dropped down automatically in every
program row, this is to avoid any possibility of collision with the stop units when the sheet needs to be rotated.
SBGThis back gauge is equipped with ball screw, linear guides and servo motor for the highest precision possible. All positions are accurate
time after time. The back gauge speed enables the productivity to increase and at the same time decrease the costs of the folding oper-
ation. Front stop units are made of spring steel as a standard feature, solid front stop units are optional. The stop units can be dropped
down automatically in every program row, which prevents any collision with the stop units when the sheet needs to be rotated. Back gauge
panels can be moved backwards when folded details requires free space behind the lower beam tool.

For large details like panels, doors and
cabinets,we recommend J-shaped or
u–shaped back gaugetables.
The operator can choose to stand in front
or back of the machine, depending on size
of the parts being folded. Even 3 and 4
meter large parts can easily be folded by
one single operator.
When operating from the back, the opera-
tor swings back the control system screen
and runs the machine with a foot pedal at
the back.
Our back gauge systems are
driven by a servo motor with

CONTROL SYSTEM
EASYLINK EasyLink is a complete and user-friendly control system, fast and
easy to program. EasyLink has the possibility to store 1000 pro-
grams with 99 steps. In every program step angle, gauge dimen-
sion, opening height, clamping pressure and hem pressure can be
programmed.
Some of the possibilities available with EasyLink are copying
programs, incremental dimensioning, and radius folding. From the
touch screen the operator gets clear messages about the pro-
gramming and operation. The Combi beam can be fully integrated
into this control. The touch screen panel is mounted on a rotating
bracket, so that the operator can easily adjust the screen to the
situation.

PROLINK With our exclusive ProLink CNC control-system with touch screen the pos-
sibilities are unlimited.
Find an icon in the library: adjust dimensions and angles and the part that
you programmed is what you get!
Because of its ease of use, an unskilled operator can produce perfect
details efficiently and safely.
The control system with its simple functions is very easy to understand
and learn. Interactive graphic pictures are shown to the operator with
instructions like rotate or flip the part- a condition to correctly be able to
produce complicated details. In the control memory you can store a large
amount of programs and you can also store programs on a memory stick
as well. Every program can be saved with a graphical icon, with name and
information. The ProLink calculates cut of size and automatically creates a
program. The finished part is shown with its actual folding sequence. The
touch screen is mounted on a pedant arm that can be rotated for optimal
viewing. It is also possible to turn the screen to the back side of the ma-
chine when folding large details. If you are programming in the office you
can use the offline-software on the computer.
