A first…

• Organised by ISTA Accreditation and Technical Department on the premises of the

ISTA Secretariat. The workshop was designed for experienced analysts

• Lecturers: Ronald Don and Rasha El Khadem.

• 25 participants from 17 different countries laboratories.

• Practical exercises & lectures:The focus during the lecture was on the process of

internal audits, and the participants performed internal audits in groups. Calibration

and verification of equipment was a focus from the technical side.

Electronic publication

In the process the Rules were reformatted in a number of ways:

• re-sizing the Rules to A4 • changing the layout to two columns. • All currently-available language versions (English, French

and German) of the Rules are now included in one PDF. • Chapters of the Rules are now available separately.

In addition: • Chapters 1, 2 and 7 are now available to non-members at

no cost. • ISTA members are able to download and print as many

copies of the Rules or individual chapters as they wish.

The ECOM Working Group on Publications and the ISTA Secretariat, has been working during 2013 on the electronic publication of the ISTA Rules. A goal achieved in Jan. 2014.
