The 2015 Texas 4-H Dog Show will be held in Belton

on July 10-12, 2015. To be eligible to participate, 4-H members must validate their dogs.

State Dog Validation due on January 10, 2015. This task is completed

through your profile on 4-H Connect. When you log-in and select your profile from the

family list, you will see a title at the top that says Animals/Livestock. When you click on

that, you will select Dog from the list and follow the instructions to fill out the information

and upload the photos.

As you complete the form, purebred dogs will select the correct Group and list the

breed. Mixed Breed dogs will select the Weight Group of the dog and list the dominant

breed along with the word “mix” or list the two

breeds if known. (Example: Border Collie Mix or Mas-

tiff/Great Dane.)

Photos of the left and right side of the dog should be

a side view of the whole dog. They should also be

clear and light enough we can see all markings and

color of the dog.

If you have validated before, you will click on the box next to each of the dogs you will be

validating this year and then click the “activate animals” button. Once they are active click

the edit button next to the dog and review the information making any corrections and up-

dating photos if needed.

Follow this link has detailed instructions on how to complete your validation. And check

the State Dog Show website for updates and the most current information.
