Wettstein is the CFO for Indian Paintbrush, a privately owned California- based production company most recently working with filmmaker Wes Anderson. The Grand Budapest Hotel is Anderson’s latest film will be screened at THELMA Friday at 7:30 pm. Movie goers can expect some giveaways from Wettstein during the movie. A St. Mary’s Springs graduate, Wettstein moved to California and worked in the insurance industry before getting her graduate degree from USC. “I used my graduate work as an opportunity to transition into the film industry,” Wettstein said. She worked for various independent companies before coming to Indian Paintbrush, where she has been for eight years. Wettstein has always loved film and is inspired by the stories told through film. “It’s an exciting place to be,” she said. “Working on the financial side, I appreciate being around creative people. And it’s fun to be part of supporting the process.” On Wes Anderson, Wettstein said “there is no detail that he does not pay attention to.”

Fond du Lac native has ties to filmmaker Wes AndersonAnderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel to be screened at THELMA Friday

When Fond du Lac screens The Grand Budapest Hotel Friday, there will be a direct connection to Fond du Lac – Deborah Wettstein.

Wettstein is the CFO for Indian Paintbrush, a privately owned California-based production company most recently working with filmmaker Wes Anderson. The Grand Budapest Hotel is Anderson’s latest film will be screened at THELMA Friday at 7:30 pm.

Movie goers can expect some giveaways from Wettstein during the movie.

A St. Mary’s Springs graduate, Wettstein moved to California and worked in the insurance industry before getting her graduate degree from USC.

When she returns to Fond du Lac this week, not only will she be attending the film at THELMA Friday but she does plan on going to a good fish fry.

THELMA is located at 51 Sheboygan St., in the heart of Downtown Fond du Lac’s Arts and Entertainment District.
