• Washtheprocessingbowl,processingcoverandallattachmentsinwarmwaterusingamilddetergent.Dryeachpartthoroughly beforeuse.

• Beforeyouassemblethefoodprocessor,ensurethatthepowercordisunplugged.

1.Placethemotorbasefacingyouonadry,levelsurface.

2.Placetheprocessingbowlontothemotorbase,thebowlwillonlysitcorrectlyonthebasewhenthehandleispositionedtotheright,seefigure1.

3.Rotatethehandleclockwisetolock,asindicatedbythegraphicsontheleftsideofthemotorbase,seefigure2.

4.Positionthelidontotheprocessingbowl. Youwillnoticeamarkingontheholdingliponthelid,whenplacingthelidontothebowlthismarkingneedstoalignwiththemarkingonthehandleofthebowl.Tolock,turnthelidclockwise,asindicatedbythearrow,seefigure3.

Furtheringredientscanbeaddedwhilsttheapplianceisrunningbypouringthroughthemediumorsmallfeedtubeoncethefoodpusher/shavebeenremoved.Removingthelargepusherwillstopthemotorrunning.

3.Afteryouhavecompletedprocessing,presstheSTART/STOPbuttontostopprocessing.

Note: Formaximumcontrol,loadthefeedtubebeforeturningonyourfoodprocessor.Alwaysusethefoodpusherformoreevenlyprocessedfoodsandneverpushwithyourfingers.Important: Thefoodprocessorisfittedwithasafetythermalcut-outdeviceandwillshutoffintheeventofoverload.Ifthisoccurs,switchtheapplianceoffanditwillautomaticallyresetwhencool.

ChoppingForthebest,mostconsistentresults,youshouldtrytoprocesspiecesoffoodthatareapproximatelyequalinsize.Whenyoubreak,cutortearfoodintouniformpiecesbeforeyoubeginprocessing,thefinishedresultswillbemoreuniform.

Moreconsistentprocessingresultsareachievedifthecontainerisnotoverloaded.

MincingPre-cutmeatintocubesapproximately2cmsquare.

VegetablesWhenprocessingvegetablessuchasonions,peelandquarterorcutlargevegetablesintoeighths.

MixingThequantitiesthatcanbeprocessedwithintheProcessingbowlwillvarywiththedensityofthemixture.

For best results with cheeseSoftercheesessuchasCheddarorSwissshouldbewellchilledbeforeprocessing.ForbestresultswithhardercheesessuchasParmesanorRomano,usetheshavingdisc,withthecheeseatroomtemperature.Note: Whengratingparmesancheesedonotapplyalotofpressuretothefoodpusher.

Adding IngredientsWhenvariousrecipesrequiredryingredientssuchasflour,addthemdirectlyintotheprocessingbowlbeforeprocessing.Thereisnoneedtosiftingredientswhenusingyourfoodprocessor.Liquidingredientsmaybeaddedwhiletheprocessorisoperatingbypouringthroughthefeedtubeintheprocessorcover.Note: Whenprocessingsaucesorsemi-liquidingredients,stopthefoodprocessorandscrapedownthecontainersides.

Using the Feed TubeThemostimportantfactorforsuccessfulslicingandshreddingisthewayinwhichthefoodispackedintothefeedtube.

When slicing, shredding, shaving or gratingCutallingredientstoasizethatfitscomfortablyintothefeedtube.Packthefeedtubeand,whileholdingfoodsteadyanduprightwiththefoodpusher,pressdownevenlyuntilallingredientsareslicedorshredded.Themorefirmlyyoupush,thethickertheslicesorshreds.Donotuseexcessiveforceoryoumaydamagethefoodprocessor.Note: Neverusefingerstopushfooddownthefeedtube.Alwaysusethefoodpusher.

For best results when slicingThefeedtubeshouldalwaysbepackedfirmlytoalloweachpieceoffoodtosupporttheothers.Therewillalwaysbeasmallportionoffoodleftunprocessedbetweenthefoodpusherandtheblade.
