• More than just a kitchen and workers, the Start Me Up Niagara (SMUN) Saturday food program serves all of the participants, workers, volunteers, and participant consumers in several ways.

• Many of the participants are involved in other SMUN programs, such as the Garden and Job Finding Services.

• Question 1: What does it take to ‘put on’ a meal at the centre?

• Answer: Much of the food is donated but needs to be prepared in advance for the large number of people served. Some of the food needs to be purchased, therefore fundraiser programs are necessary.
