Thus, it could be true that these players and their talent deserve such high monetary reward.

Some injuries can be fatal and cause the footballers career to be on hiatus. This can be seen during the 2014 FIFA world cup where Brazils forward Neymar was unable to continue playing in the cup as he suffered a back injury during the quarter finals. Hence, due to the risks involved in playing the game, a footballers career can prove to be very short so they deserve the high salaries to compensate the years they will face unemployment unlike other jobs which guarantees employment up to the age of sixty.

Conclusion

In summary, while some people may argue that international footballers high pay is irrational, they deserve it because of their life long dedication for the game. Football is a game that connects people from all around the globe and the players deserve the token of appreciation for enabling it which is though high salaries.
