What is Footpath ofLife
• Footpath of Life is a hiking trail around the world, lined by the trees of memory.
• Trees, people will plant for the loved ones who passed away.• It will be a path of hope, memories and a symbol for love and
life.• Footpath of Life will help people to find a way out of the
darkness and to discover the beauty of life in a new way.• It´s a symbol which is unifying and connecting humans from
all over the world, in almost 70 countries.• Footpath of Life will be a unique multimedia experience for users
who will follow the creator Mario Dieringer, during his walking and planting trip around the world.
What is the idea?
• Our earth is covered by forests. Billions of trees and not one is similar to another.
• Trees stands for power, energy, strength, beauty and much more
• Trees are the perfect symbol for love.• A circle around the earth stands for the circle of life.• A circle of life is endless.• We use circles, like wedding rings, as a symbol for love. • A circle around the world, lined by the trees of memory,
is a combination of symbols for life and love.
That´s why Footpath of Life will create something magic.
Why I am doing this?
• As I will collaborating with different programs for prevention of suicide, I want to support their work, with money and publicity.
• Humans who lost somebody, are suffering and they find themselves in the darkest period of their life. Footpath of Life offers them, a place to remember, a way they can walk in search for new answers, a window to a joy- and colorful life, after the grief and something which can grow, like once their love did.
• I promise and offer people in such situation my help, if things must be done, my ears to listen, my hugs just to hold them. I know the hell they are going through – I have been there too. Human need human.
• With this project I want to focus on the problem of suicides but more: not to let those alone, who need help most.
• And because I strongly belief, that such a circle will create something special and magical.
What´s the reason for this?
• I lost my love by suicide. I fought 16 months, just to lose the battle.
• It was suicide number five in my life. I want to show what else will be possible, if each of those people who are suffering for depressions, a loss or anything else, just believe in the possibility that …
• Footpath of Life will make a difference, a offer and a promise.
• I will support with this walk, suicide prevention organizations
Goals
• Reaching so many people as possible• Planting so many trees as possible• Helping so many people as necessary • Connecting so many people as possible via
their trees of memory• Collecting so many moneys as possible for suicide
prevention work• Creating a unique long term multimedia event • Proofing the positive power of social media
Multimedia Vision
• Getting Google maps on the table and creating an interactive map, where users can see live, where I am.
• A map which is connected to a helmet camera and a sound system, so users can click on it and being part of creation Footpath of Life.
• Having a connection, probably via Google glass, so people can write live comments and I can answer them in the same moment.
• Of corse all the possibilities of GPS Tracking• Involving the big ones Facebook, Twitter, Google
What can I do for you? • In ten days almost 2000 visitors of the website
• In the same time, 300 LikesFollowers, Friends, which is
a conversion rate of 15%
