Attendees may have an extensive background in STEM, however, they may not have theleadership skills to advance. WHATYOU WILLLEARNThe LEAD Certi�icate Program is an onlineprofessional development and leadershipprogram speci�ically for women in STEM whowish to develop knowledge and skills to aid intheir advancement. This certi�icate is structured to allow a �lexibleapproach to learning. You'll be supported as youengage in individual activities and groupdiscussions, ensuring you feel con�ident toaddress challenges that come your way. What led to the development of thiscertificate? We asked STEM professional women throughour Center of Excellence for Women in STEM(CEWS) what they felt they needed to persistand advance in their respective �ields. We responded by creating our LEAD Programbased on their answers– a professionaland leadership development program - designedexplicitly for women in science,engineering, technology and math �ields.

The LEAD (Leadership Exploration AnalysisDevelopment for Women in STEM) Certi�icateProgram at Bay Path University consists of four(4) courses offered 100% online. Upon completionof the Program, each participant will receive aSTEM Leadership Certi�icate from Bay PathUniversity. Participants will bene�it from ourthree-pronged approach that uses dynamiccontent modules employing active-learningprinciples; focuses on developing leadership andaction plans uni�ue to individual participants;and provides  high-�uality executive and peercoaching from leaders in STEM. WELCOME TO YOUR ONLINE CAMPUSJANUARY 20 - JANUARY 31, 2020You'll be welcomed with a personal call and introduced toyour online teaching and technical support network. Youcan begin to connect with fellow participants whileexploring the navigation and tools of your Online Campus.You'll understand key milestones in the learning path, andreview how your progress will be assessed.

You'll be required to complete your participant pro�ile, con�irmyour certi�icate delivery address, and submit proof of identity(i.e., driver's license).

DiSC: ENHANCE YOUR LEADERSHIP SKILLSJANUARY 20 - JANUARY 31, 2020Research in the �ield of leadership and management showsthat success comes to those who know themselves, theirstrengths, their values, and how they best perform.  In thisworkshop, you will identify your motivators, needs, andstressors. You'll learn effective ways of dealing with othersand become aware of task tensions versus relationaltensions.  Reviewing your DiSC results with Dr. MoSattar, your faculty instructor, you will learn to become abetter leader, communicator, and team player.

Cost of assessment included in price.

Before you begin the �irst course, you will receive an emailincluding a link to complete an online DiSC assessmentfor leadership development. Your assessment results willbe paired with a re�lection assignment in one of themodules.

DR. GINA SEMPREBONProfessor of Biology; Director, Center ofExcellence for Women in STEM

Gina M. Semprebon, PhD, is professor and founding director of the Center of Excellence for Women in STEM. In addition to her leadershiprole at Bay Path, Dr. Semprebon organizes and administers programs in science for young women, including science enrichment outreachprograms for girls in underserved school districts. Specializing in palaeoecology—the study of prehistoric life forms and their interaction withtheir environments, Semprebon received her doctorate in biology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She holds master’s degrees ineducation from American International College and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, respectively. Internationally recognized for her paleoecology research, Semprebon co-developed the low magni�ication stereomicrowear techni�ue—a novelmethod of examining microscopic scars on dental enamel caused by food substances. Semprebon currently serves as the principal investigator fortwo National Science Foundation grants for her research on revealing the origins of Aramis hominids and another for the initial appeal andretention of Bay Path undergraduates to pursue an education in biology, biotechnology, or forensic science.

DR. MO SATTARProgram Director of the Master of BusinessAdministration at Bay Path University

Dr. Mo Sattar is the program director of the Master of BusinessAdministration. He has global business leadership experience with anemphasis on enhancing organizational effectiveness and applying changemanagement processes to improve business performance. Dr. Sattar has aBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University ofConnecticut, a Master of Science in Engineering, a Master of Science inManagement from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), and a Doctorof Professional Studies in Business, concentration in management, fromPace University. Mo brings over thirty years of successful businessmanagement and leadership experience to Bay Path University. He hasheld various leadership positions involving engineering, �inance,operations, supply chain management, international operations, andgeneral management. During his tenure in the aerospace industry as ageneral manager, he enhanced business performance via changemanagement processes and strategic alignment.

ROBIN SAUNDERSDirector, Communications & InformationManagement Programs at Bay Path University

Robin B. Saunders, is the program director of the Master of Science inCommunications and Information Management Programs. She is anaccomplished educator, entrepreneur, healthcare professional, andspeaker. Robin brings more than 25 years of successful businessmanagement to Bay Path University. She has founded and sold severalglobal businesses and been awarded the Canadian Entrepreneur of theYear. Currently, she is a nationally recognized speaker on cybersecurityand healthcare, arti�icial intelligence, and the impact of convergingtechnologies and its conse�uences. Robin is also an Ethical Hacker and aCerti�ied Blacklight examiner. In her spare time, Robin competes intriathlons and has recently completed four Ironman 70.3 races. Herenthusiasm and passion drive her to perfection. Robin prides herself onbeing �lexible, a problem-solver, and an innovator.

Dr. Joshua Weiss is the program director for the Master of Science inLeadership and Negotiation. He is a Senior Fellow at the HarvardNegotiation Project (HNP), a subsidiary of Harvard University’s Programon Negotiation—a consortium comprised of faculty, staff, and studentsfrom Harvard, MIT, and Tufts University. Weiss is also the co-founder ofthe Global Negotiation Initiative at the HNP. In addition, Dr. Weiss isthe founder of Negotiation Works, Inc., and consults for a number ofFortune 500 companies, the United Nations, and the U.S. Government.He delivers negotiation and mediation training and courses and is taskedwith negotiation and mediation at the organizational, corporate,government, and international levels. Dr. Weiss received his PhD fromthe Institute for Con�lict Analysis and Resolution at George MasonUniversity.

MICHELE HEYWARDFounder of PositiveHire and CEO of HeywardBusiness Consulting

Michele Heyward is founder and CEO of PositiveHire, a tech companyengineered to bridge the gap between enterprises and women of color inSTEM. Michele is an experienced project manager in the energy sectorarmed with technical sales and technology transfer experience. Beforestarting her own business, Michele was a construction engineer. Michele’s vision is to not only help women of color in STEM �indinclusive workplaces, but to prepare enterprises to receive them, and helpthose enterprises recruit them. This approach makes PositiveHire thepremiere recruiting platform for women of color professionals. Michele has a BS in Civil Engineering and MS in Industrial Management,both from Clemson University.  A South Carolina native, Michele enjoysspending time with her family, traveling, Toastmasters, and makingconnections personally and professionally.
