ABOUT
Trey Barnes and his dad Trey started playing golf at Quail Valley Country Club in Missouri City, Texas around the age of 12. His dad, Don Barnes, started him out with his first set of clubs and the basic fundamentals. When Don couldn't beat Trey anymore on the golf course, it was time to take his game to the next level. They did that with Head Pro, Pat O'Hara and PGA player, Keith Fergus. As a state finalist, Trey won 9 tournaments during his high school career at Elkins H.S. and was awarded a golf scholarship to Abilene Christian University (ACU). While at ACU, he was named Golf Collegiate All-American (1999 and 2000) while helping his team to the NCAA National Championship Tournament. Today, Trey is a business executive (CFO, CPA, MBA) who still enjoys amateur golf competition. He is happily married with 3 beautiful kids, residing in the greater Houston area.

The truth about golf. Golf is a real challenge for several reasons. It's a "learned swing" instead of a "natural swing". Similar to snow skiing, it helps to take a few lessons to lessen any frustrations. Golf also requires practice. Since "touch & feel" are a big part of the game, one must practice if improving is desired. But...who has the time?! With work and family, getting away to practice AND play is tough for most.
If you love a challenge…golf is a perfect one!
Here's some interesting weekend golfer statistics on the internet:
Millions of people play weekend golf. 75% or so never break the score of 90. Most people play golf less than 6 times per year. (no time!) Pro golfers practice 5 days a week...at least. They hit thousands of golf balls. 90% or so of weekend golfers have never had a golf lesson from a pro.
Conclusion: Most people who play golf have little time to play and almost no time to practice. While playing, they would like a "quick tip" on some shots that they never learned how to execute. For many years, Trey and Don have played in golf outings with weekend golfers and witnessed the frustration and embarrassment they suffer through. Along the way, the Barnes' learned some "quick fixes" that helps improve golf games. With that knowledge and experience, it was only natural to put together QwikFix.golf™. Now, weekend golfers can get a quick tip while playing and finish with better results!
Biggest Problems Most Golfers Have
Swinging too hard!
Looking up too soon.
Not transferring weight during swing
Wrong shaft in their clubs
Not lining up their shots before
executing
