Open Chest stretch (for mum).-take one or both honds to floor behind, draw back

shoulders and open chest.- wiih breath gentty tift chin and lower.

back with inhale.- Tucking chin under and curving spine up

Final Summing up.

Baby lying supine on cushion, mum leaning over them inrelaxel Hare pose (baby posifioned fo ensure lengfh inmums spine).

-Bija mantras.- humming RAM montra for solor plexus.- " YUM " for heart centre.

HUM " for neck space.OM " for heod space.

Reloxotion.Lying down with baby, feeAing or sitting on birthing botls(depending on baby's needs).

-Settling body comfortobly, closing eyes and becomingstilt.

-Focus mind on this moment with your baby.-Moving iow side-to-side ond yawning to release jaw.-Bring oworeness fo breath, initiolly flowing in through

nostrils, then obdominal breath (graduotly lengtheningexhalations).

-Toke minds eye around each part of ihe body in turnreleasing any stress or fensions.

-As body sinks into deep relaxation focus on sensationof heaviness, body 'melis' info floor.

-Let your body experience the opposite sensotion;imagine body becoming more ond more weightless.

-Focus returns fo rhythm of own breath.-Using own breoth take 3x slow OM's.-Gentty begin to owaken the body by wiggling fingers,

foes and streiching out whatever port of body able to.-Attow mums and baby's to open eyes and come ouf of

relaxotion slowly.

COMMENTS:This week only Mitey ond Anna were there from the origina[ cose siudygroup. Polly and Avo and Amy and Som were unable to moke class this week.Tegan's mum (a friend of Potly's) hod come fo try the class out. Invited herto join fhe study group depending on how they both found the class. Boththe older two babies were regulars to the classes.The hip and leg exercises went very smoothly, I encouraged the otder bobiesto do a more vigorous jogging as they obviously enjoyed a bit moreexcitement. As Kieran is quite a large boy, he was just able lie on mum'sthighs in v-knee posifion, in retrospect he probabty would have been morecomfortable supporfed in a similar position on the floor. However if was nicefor mums of younger babies to see development and strength of back andneck muscles in Jack and Kieran. Little bobies seemed to enjoy the newperspective from this pose. Anno ond Mitey enjoyed being 'ro[ted up' in mum'sarrns, whilsf Tegan was not so sure. I suggested lo her mum thot shegently introduce her to the exercises. As a[[ wos so new for both of them,when Tegon wos unhoppy with something she could hold her close forreossurance ond either return to somefhing Tegan enioyed or waif until thenext pose. I got mums with older babes to use the extended version 'theroller coosfer'. Kieron had done fhis before and was very relaxed but if wosJock's first time so we took it very slowly. Att seemed to enjoy bonnisterhold. At this point in the ctass I hod plannd for mums fo come on to handsand knees for cot pose, but as a couple of ihe little bobies hod storted hodstorted feeding T decided to come on to bocks insteod. I thought it would behetpful fo use the pelvic lift with breoth we hod learnf the week before,and the older babies might enjoy some 'dive bombing' (boby on mums shin is

tipped up fo an upside down position) while the younger babies were gentlyrocked then circled round white lying on their mums shins. All came tostanding via kneeling tift using breath ond pelvic floor muscles and as withthe previous session, oll enjoyed sofety hold with gentle swinging twist and'hip closing wolk'. I olso decidd io introduce a yery simple standing balancefor mums (coming up onto balls of feel, then lowering down using breath),ond this seemed to work well.
