Sheet VinylSheet vinyl ranges such as our Novilon and Novitex cushioned vinyl and our Eternal de Luxe all o�er the beauty of natural materials such as wood and stone, but without the expense and upkeep of their natural counterparts. Our factory applied �nishes such as Aquagrip, Noviclean or PUR Pearl ensure easy cleaning and maintenance and resistance to scu�s and scratches. Our “For My Home” sheet vinyl ranges are available in multiple widths meaning they can be installed in most standard sized rooms without the need for seams or joins.

Entrance SystemsA good quality entrance matting system can be the key to making sure your internal �oor coverings stay clean and looking good. Not only can moisture from the soles of shoes leave unsightly marks on your �oors and make them slippery, larger coarse particles of grit and dirt can scratch and damage the surface of resilient �oor coverings. That’s why our Coral ranges are each designed to remove up to 95% of dirt and moisture.

allura: TackFlex is our dimensionally stable yet functional loose lay system, which allows for post use removal and quicker installation. It is ideal for use in semi-commercial environments and works alongside our Tessera carpet tiles for integrated �ooring solutions.

Are tile and plank products suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms?Absolutely, modular floors can be used in areas where there are likely to be spills and splashes of water and other liquids – however we highly recommend that any spilled wet substances be dealt with immediately. In addition our Allura and Marmoleum feel warm and comfortable underfoot and so are ideal for areas where bare feet are likely.

Please note Marmoleum Click is unsuitable for areas with standing water, such as wetrooms and showers.

Why do I need to prepare my subfloor before installation? A smooth subfloor is necessary for a well fitting end result, therefore it may be necessary to level your subfloor before installation.

Are Forbo’s floors suitable for use with underfloor heating? Yes, all our floor coverings in the “For My Home” collection are suitable for use with both electric and hot water underfloor heating systems, provided that the subfloor surface does not exceed 28˚C.*

*Forbo foam used under Marmoleum Click is not suitable for subfloors with underfloor heating.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How can Forbo’s flooring products help to keep my home quiet? Our vinyl, Flotex and Marmoleum products deliver much better impact sound reduction in comparison to other common domestic floor coverings such as laminate, ceramic tiles or parquet flooring. When installing an Allura or Marmoleum Click floor we recommend using the Forbo Click underlay to increase impact noise reduction by between 15 dB – 21 dB. A Decibel version of our Eternal de Luxe range is also available to give 17 dB impact sound reduction.

Can I install the “For My Home” products myself?Our Allura Click and Marmoleum Click planks and tiles are designed to be easily installed thanks to our unique “Click” system. Allura dry back, Allura Flex and Marmoleum Modular must be installed using the relevant adhesive or tackifier. The subfloor must be level and dry before installation – it may be necessary to level the subfloor to achieve an optimal result. We advise your Forbo flooring of choice is always fitted by a professional flooring installer to ensure a flawless finish and a beautiful result.

Does my floor covering need to be acclimatised prior to installation? It is essential that the laying area is at a steady temperature of 18 to 27°C for 48 hours prior to, during, and for 24 hours after installation. The material and adhesive (if required) should be conditioned in the same environment for at least 24 hours prior to the installation. Where the floor coverings have been stored or transported immediately prior to delivery in temperatures below 10°C the acclimatisation period should be extended to 48 hours.

How do I clean my new Forbo flooring? Our “For My Home” floor coverings are all designed to make cleaning and maintenance as easy as possible. Cleaning regimes differ by product; full instructions for each of our ranges are available to download at www.forbo-flooring.co.uk/consumerdownloads We also work in close partnership with Wrennalls to offer a range of cleaning products designed specifically for use with our “For My Home” products. Do I need to seal around the edges of my flooring in bathrooms? All resilient products (sheet and tile) will benefit from having a sealant around the edges in wet areas. It avoids water penetrating under skirtings etc which may affect the installation or cause bacterial growth with water getting trapped underneath the flooring. Flotex, as a textile product, cannot be sealed.

Does my Forbo Floor covering come with a guarantee? Forbo’s residential use flooring range, which includes the Products listed in this brochure, is guaranteed when fitted for interior use only. Interior use products are not designed for, and are not guaranteed in respect of, exterior use. In the event that the Product is determined to be defective by Forbo (acting reasonably), Forbo shall replace any defective material (which may be all, or part of an installation) in an identical floor covering of if such floor covering is unavailable or discontinued in the nearest alternative floor covering in terms of its aspect and quality.
