VOL. 27 NO 21, MAY 31, 2017
For Our HOMECOMING: WE NEED YOU… specifically your HOSPITALITY!
Brothers and Sisters, as you are aware, Great Oaks is marking its 25th Anniversary with a celebration weekend on Au-
gust 19 & 20, 2017. Obviously we want all of you to make plans to attend; however, you may not be aware that we’re
also reaching out to former members to invite them to return and celebrate with us.
“So”, you say, “what does that have to do with me?” Well… in order to encourage as many of them as possible to re-
turn, we need to make it as easy as possible with minimal expenses. Therefore, we’re making arrangements with
some local hotels for a reduced rate for that weekend. But, wouldn’t it be nicer if we (the church) could accommo-
date them in our own homes?
That brings me to your HOSPITALITY. We need people that have extra room in your home to open it up to those of
our former members that need a place to stay when they come back to help us celebrate. Please prayerfully consider
doing this! Our best guess is that most people will only need a place to stay for one night, Saturday, 8/19/17; howev-
er, there is a possibility that some may also need a place to stay on Friday and/or Sunday nights.
If you can help with this need during our homecoming celebration, please sign the sheet in the hallway by the Minis-
ters’ offices indicating how many people you can accommodate, and if there are any restrictions on which nights. If
you have questions, or just don’t want to sign another “sign-up sheet”, please see us or email us at, GO-
[email protected] . If you are aware of any former members that need help finding a place
to stay you may also have them contact us via email at that address too. In Him, your Brother & Sister in Christ…
