TAW is a privately held company established by Mr. J. A. Turner Sr. in 1921 In Tampa, Florida. The company originally was founded as a motor repair facility to service regional phosphate and paper industries. In 1956 the TAW Custom Equipment group was formed to engineer and manufacture medium voltage switchgear and control systems. Today under the leadership of the third generation of Turners, the business has grown significantly and has locations throughout the Southeast United States and in the Dominican Republic. The company was founded by the Turner family based on the principles of Quality, Value, Honesty and Integrity. In the ninety plus years of TAW history much has changed, but the company remains totally committed to providing service to the customer.
