Travel fees are not included in any package, however they are pretty basic. No travel charge for sessions in Cedar City, Utah. If your wedding does require us to travel, a custom quote will be applied for gas/airfare/&rental car (whichever is needed), lodging, and meals.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BOOK MY WEDDING?Once we have our first consultation to discuss the details and timeline of your event, and the date of your wedding has been determined, we require that one third of your chosen package price be paid up front and will have you sign our wedding contract. It’s a simple process that can be completed online and by mail, or in person, whatever is easiest for you and your schedule.
WHEN ARE MY PAYMENTS DUE?Payments are divided into thirds once the final details of your contract have been determined. The first payment is due at booking, and is a non-refundable retainer fee to reserve your date. The reservation of your date prevents any other event being booked the day of your wedding. The second payment is due 3 months before your wedding day, and the final payment is due no later than 2 weeks before your wedding day.
WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?At this time we only accept cash or check. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?If you decide to cancel, for whatever reason, all you need to do is contact Jami either by phone call or email. The retainer fee is non-refundable, but any other payments you have made will be reimbursed in full.
WHEN DO I NEED TO BOOK MY ENGAGEMENT SESSION AND/OR BRIDAL SESSION?Engagement Session dates are typically discussed and secured in your first consultation. Most engagement sessions are booked 1 month before you would like to have your session and should take place at least 2 months prior to your wedding. Bridal and Groomal sessions dates should also be booked at least 1 month prior to when you would like to have your session and should take place no later than 1 month before your wedding day. However, depending on the timeline of your event, make sure to plan enough time to have your photos edited and ordered if you plan on displaying them at your event.
WHEN SHOULD I SEND OUT MY WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENTS?Wedding announcements should be sent out no later than 1 month prior to your wedding day. If you are sending out “Save The Date” announcements, we can discuss the details and secure a date. If you are including an engagement photo as an insert in your announcement, you should plan on receiving those within 2 weeks after making the order with the studio.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR SESSIONS TO BE EDITED AND AVAILABLE TO VIEW ONLINE?Our turn around time for online proofing of Engagement Sessions and Bridal/Groomal Sessions is 2-3 weeks after your session. Weddings are available for viewing online 4-5 weeks after your wedding date. Your photos are uploaded to a password protected private online gallery that you and your family and friends may access to take a look at your photos! Engagement and Bridal/Groomal Session photos are available to view online for 1 month. Wedding photos are available for 2 months. ALL orders must be made before the password expires. A $25 fee will be charged to reactivate a gallery once it has expired.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE ON MY DVD?You should expect to receive between 30-50 edited Engagement and Bridal/

Groomal photos on your DVD. Depending on the wedding package you’ve chosen, you will receive between 150-500 images from your wedding day.
WHAT IS YOUR PRINTING POLICY? WHAT IS A LIMITED USE PRINT RELEASE?My printing policy is simple. Photo prints 8x10 or larger must be ordered through the studio to ensure a high quality and professional finish for their photos. If the DVD of your edited images is included in your package, or you pay for DVD separately, you will receive a limited use print release that allows you to take the disc to a printer you are familiar with. However, you may only print photos up to5x7 in size.
WHY DOES IT WORK THAT WAY?I value every photo I take, and I think my clients deserve the absolute best in quality! I only use professional print labs to process my photos because of the higher quality product they produce. I realize that sometimes my clients are limited in printing resources, such as Walgreens, Walmart, Cosco, etc. which is why I allow them the freedom of making smaller prints whenever is convienent for them. However, these places are not professional print labs and DO NOT deliver the same high quality results. Especially with enlargement prints. They are also very limited in alternative printing options like metallic and canvas prints. There are many technical aspects behind my policy, but to keep it simple, I use this policy to protect the quality of photos which will be displayed!
AM I ALLOWED TO PUT THE IMAGES FOR MY SESSION ON MY BLOG OR FACEBOOK?Of course!! Your are actually encouraged to do that! All I ask is that you give proper credit to me and my studio and avoid cropping out my logo.

DO I NEED TO DO TO BOOK MY ENGAGEMENT SESSION?We’ll discuss your wedding timeline during our first consultation, and typically set the date for your engagement session then. We prefer shooting them at least 2 months before your wedding in order to edit and process your photos if you plan on displaying them at your event. Allow enough time to order and send announcements at least 1 month before your wedding.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR TO OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION?Whatever you wear should represent who you are and be a reflection of your fun and unique personalities! That’s the most important thing. As you plan out your outfits, my advice would be to avoid matchy match outfits. It’s a lot more fun and much more appealing to the eye if you use layers and accessories. Mix and match patterns (with out clashing of course) but get creative! For ladies, tailored form fitting clothing looks flattering and really classy. Dark jeans are always encouraged if you’re going for a more casual look without dressing it too down.
For fellas, coordinate with your fiancé, but still be you too! Classic is always the best, so avoid dressing in super trendy outfits; it will quickly date your photos and is not recommended because it does not coincide with my style of photography.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO BEFORE THE SESSION?We’ll discuss a lot of ideas during your consultation. If you have any specific locations in mind, feel free to share and we’ll do our best to make it happen. I think using props is ok on rare occasions, if it’s done correctly, but you don’t need to feel obligated to have a whole styled set-up for your engagement session if that isn’t you. If you do choose to use props, keep them simple! Also, think about if you want a more urban or classic chic setting. This will help me determine what types of locations will work with your unique wedding theme. You’ll receive a “Get to Know Us” sheet that you’ll want to fill out and send back to us at least 1 week prior to your session.
Engagements
CAN I BRING FRIENDS OR FAMILY ALONG FOR THE SHOOT?We prefer that your session be just you and your fiancé, so there are less distractions. This will help us create a much more comfortable atmosphere for your shoot, and will allow you and your fiancé to open up and be yourselves. Also, the less people at the session will make it easier to move from location to location which will give you more time in front of the camera!

WHEN DOES YOUR TIME BEGIN?Our time begins as soon as we arrive at the first location. The timeline of your day will be discussed heavily before the actual event.
For LDS weddings, typically arrive at the temple 30 minutes before you and your husband come out of the temple together. This allows me to gather your family members outside and prepare for your exit out the temple doors.
For civil weddings, I will arrive at a time discussed during our consultation in order to capture any “First Look” moments and prepare for your ceremony. It’s important to maximize our time spent at your wedding and plan a detailed timeline in order to capture all the formal portraits, family portraits, ceremony, and reception photos.
WHEN DO WE NEED TO START TAKING PHOTOS THE DAY OF MY WEDDING?The earlier we can start shooting together, the better! We are always fighting the sun in order to capture the amazing light in your photos. Depending on
the package you’ve chosen for your day, and what we’ve determined in your wedding contract, will determine how long we will be at your wedding. Each wedding is unique and will be discussed in detail during your consultation.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR TIME IS UP, AND WE HAVEN’T LEFT OUR RECEPTION YET?This is tough situation! However, if you think that your reception will take longer than the time you have purchased in your package, you are welcome and encouraged to purchase extra time in order to reserve our time at your event.
During our consultation while we are determining your timeline, I always try to discuss the best way to maximize the time at your reception. Planning the detailed time of the special moments during the night like cutting the cake, the throwing of your bouquet, and the first dance need to be prioritized and determined in your timeline. Unfortuantely, we do not allow the purchase of more time the day of your event, because your photographer may have other obligations to take care of after your wedding. It must be paid for before your wedding day.
Wedding Day
DO YOU SHOOT POSED PHOTOS AT WEDDINGS?My style of photography is a hybrid of fine art and lifestyle photojournalism. That means that some of my photos are posed in a way that is aesthetically pleasing with artistic composition, with a blend of natural and candid photos. I try to keep posing to a minimum. It’s also something that we can determine together during our consultation.
DO YOU MIND OTHER PEOPLE SHOOTING PHOTOS AT OUR WEDDING?This is something that can be extremely distracting to us as well as you and your guests. We prefer that we are the only hired photographers at your wedding (If you have hired a videographer, that’s great! We work well together and encourage this!), and that guests and family members respect our shooting space without crowding us or standing behind us. It’s hard to get great photos of a large group if people are looking at other people besides us at the time the photo is taken. That being said, guests and family members are more than welcome to bring their cameras to your wedding, all we ask is that they don’t become a distraction.
MY OTHER VENDORS WOULD LIKE SOME OF THE PHOTOS YOU TAKE OF MY WEDDING, DO YOU ALLOW THIS?Of course! Just have them contact us directly to coordinate the process. We love networking with other wedding professionals and enjoy helping them build their portfolios with professional photos.
DO YOU USE FLASH?We try to utilize natural light as much as possible, but sometimes circumstance calls for flash. If you are having an indoor wedding, such as in a church, please make sure to ask them if they allow flash photography. We try to use flash at a minimum because we don’t like to become a distraction during your event. However, if your reception is at night or located indoors, flash and video lights are required to maintain the quality of photos.
