Dear People of God, Peace be with you! Brothers & Sisters, as I men-tioned before, our Bible Classes will be resuming this Thursday, January 23 after 6pm mass in the basement. The most important book for a Christian believer is the Bible. To study it and put it into practice it in our daily lives is a great blessing. Please join us! “Your Words, Lord, are Spirit and Life”- John 6:63. Please bring your Bible. Healing Mass and Anointing of the Sick, Tues-day, February 4th at 6:00 pm in our HSC, our weekday mass chapel, some may know it as the crying room. The sacrament, mass and praying in a personal way will
bring the health and healing from Jesus Our Lord to those who come and pray with a strong faith. We’ll ask and the Lord will listen! Worldwide Marriage Encounter, March 6th - 8th in Laredo! Taking advantage of the arrival of Fr. Oscar, I will be sharing, along with other matrimonies/couples, the Marriage Encounter experience. It has been a great blessing in my life and ministry, I invite you and your spouse to attend this encounter and enrich you mar-riage in a great way. May the Lord enlighten your life and your family to give you the courage to attend! And participate! Yours, Fr. Evencio
HEALING MASS &
ANOINTING OF THE SICK
Tuesday, February 4th 6pm @ Our Lady of Guadalupe
Wednesday, February 5th 9:30 am @ Nursing Home
Catholics believe that healing occurs during all masses, for God wants to heal you through the powerful sacrament of the Eucharist. It is His gift to the Church. During a healing mass and service, we must remain open to the Holy Spirit and invite Him into our hearts for healing to take place. All that’s required on our part is to have expectant faith. The theme of the entire mass is healing, prayer is provided for your individual needs. Examples of healing might occur physically, spiritually or emotionally. This could be a relationship healing that brings forgiveness to both ourselves and others. Let’s remember that God is doing all the healing. The celebrant is only an instrument the Lord is using to provide a prayerful environment for Him to work in. Even if you believe you were healed or your prayer was answered, keep praying and thanking God for that healing.
"Bless the LORD, 0 my soul, and for-get not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy" -Psalm 103:2-4

SECOND COLLECTION
Next week, January 25th & 26th,
we will take up the Collection for the
Church in Latin America. For many
in Latin America and the Caribbean,
a rising secular culture, difficult rural
terrain, and a shortage of ministers
all present obstacles to practicing the
faith. Your support for the collection
provides lay leadership training, cat-
echesis, priestly and religious for-
mation, and other programs to share
our Catholic faith with those who
long to hear the Good News of
Christ. To learn more about how
your gifts make a difference, visit
