This French legend telling of the little juggler, Giovanni, who offers the gift of his talent and witnesses a miracle of the Sun (Son) of the heavens has always brought me closer to seeing God's glory in all I am called to do. Please make arrangements to have your orders picked up at that time and remember that we nolonger have a freezer so WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO STORE YOUR CHICKEN AT THE SCHOOL. Therefore, ordersMUST be picked up at the time of delivery. No exceptions. Cross Country Team: We are having an after school practice today till 4:30 pm. Students are encouraged to run at home toprepare for the 2 meets next week. All the students in grades 3 and 4 will be participating at the Christian Schools Meet inStratford on Oct. 7. They have been practising during school hours and do not need to stay after school.

Terry Fox National School Run: Congratulations WCS! We raised $2349.70 for cancer research! This was an increase overlast year's amount of $2200. Students in grades 3-8 walked for 45 minutes through the neighbouring streets and then ran theperimeter of the school grounds. We all wore "I'm Running For...." stickers and Terry Fox tatoos. We were being the hands andfeet of Jesus and we are so thankful for the support given during this special event.

Spirit Wear: Show your school spirit and colours! Spirit wear is back! Watch for the display table by the school office forsamples. We are excited to make this special sale available again. Why not get some early Christmas shopping done and out ofthe wear and purchase some WCS tshirts, hoodies, coats, and more? These items are great to wear for special events or just everyday - sharing with everyone that we love Woodstock Christian School! A portion of the proceeds go back to the school too!

MacMillan's Sale: We have chosen October for the sale because it's extra profit month! WCS will earn an extra 25 cents perunit sold. For example, if you purchase $15 worth of cookie dough, WCS will earn $4.25. This can add up quickly Imagine howmuch we could earn if each family sells at least five items! These tasty treats freeze well - perfect for holidays and unexpectedguests! Completed forms need to be returned to school by October 6 and paid in FULL. Products will be delivered to theschool in the afternoon on October 16 . Please make arrangements to pick up your items before 5 pm. There are no freezersth

available at school to store your items. If you have any questions, contact Julie Smid at 519-539-1869 or [email protected]

Scrap Metal Fundraising: Do you recycle a lot of aluminum or tin cans each time you put out your blue boxes? Why not savethem and bring them to the Family Feast Night? We can cash them in at Shamrock Recycling as scrap metal. Please bring themin separate bags (one for tin, one for aluminum). The tin cans MUST be clean without any paper wrapping on them. This is aneasy way to earn extra funds for our school. Collect from all your friends and family too! If you have larger amounts, pleasecontact Heather De Boer (519) 842-9284 or [email protected]

Class Parents/"Secret Pals" Needed: Would you like to be involved in your child's class? Would you like to be a "secret pal"for staff members who don't have a specific class? We are currently looking for parents to fill these special roles at school! Whatis a room/class parent? This parent would be a link between the classroom and the teacher for special events. S/he wouldorganize teacher gifts, class parties, help with special events, and generally encourage and support the teacher. This can be doneas a team and is not a weekly commitment. Much of it can be done from home. What is a "secret pal"? This can also be called aquiet encourager. WCS has at least five staff members that do not have a specific grade. However, they would loveencouragement and someone thinking of them on special days. This role would include sending words of encouragement, praying for the staff member, and remembering them on their birthday, etc. Please check your email (and junk folders) for an email from Heather De Boer. It will be a more personalized note for each graderegarding that teacher. If you would like to be a room/class parent or adopt another staff member that doesn't have a specificclass, please contact Heather De Boer @ [email protected] or 519-842-9284. Thank you so much in advance!
