How wonderful it was to see so many friends and family at our Annual Presentation evening at Forbes High School last night. I must say that the roll up of so many supporters caught us by surprise. We had set out 370 seats for our audience (not including students) and still had to do a last minute scramble to accommodate everyone!!!
Thank you to all who attended to support our students last night, and congratulations to all award recipients and to all students who conducted themselves so beautifully.
A huge thank you also to all staff involved in the organisation of this special event, in particular our office staff – Annemarie Goodger, Fay Green and Nicole Constable – for insuring it all ran smoothly, and to our Parliamentary Ministers and Captains for running such a tight show.
Have a great week! Steve McAlister Principal
Thanks to the P & C
As the end of the school year rapidly approaches I would like to acknowledge the support and advice provided by the Forbes North Public School P&C Association over the past 12 months. The outgoing Executive – President Natalie Walker, Vice President Debbie Lockwood, Treasurer Tricia Greenhill, Secretary Sinty Duffy and Office Bearers Louise Allen and Marlene Cuskelly – have worked tirelessly, often sacrificing family time and other commitments, to insure that the community has a voice in driving the school forward and that the best interests of the students are always at the core of any decision making.
While the school and the P&C were not always in agreement, I can confidently state that Forbes North Public School is better for having the input of such passionate parents. I look forward to working with the new P&C

YEAR 6 FAREWELL
It was a lovely goodbye to our Year 6 class of 2018 last Friday night. The students arrived looking fabulous and ready for a night of celebration. They were presented with their graduation books and certificates followed by some wonderful speeches from our captains, Ayden Flick and Ruby Markwort, who shared some treasured memories from their time at Forbes North Public School. After dinner, the students enjoyed a slideshow, a dance and some cake. It was a brilliant farewell to our very special Year 6 class. Miss Prior

Link-Up 2018 Wrap-Up The 2018 Forbes North Link-Up to School transition program has just flown by once again! The children have enjoyed making new friends both at Link-Up and with the big kids already at school. They have been welcomed to such places as the library, garden, sick bay, kitchen, front office and Principal’s office, just to name a few.
The Kindergarten teachers have spent time getting to know the Link-Up children in their Link-Up space and then the children have visited the teachers in the
Kindergarten rooms to explore the classrooms they will be attending in 2019.
The Link-Up group have also participated in such programs as Healthy Harold, Fun Friends, Food Revolution, Healthy Ears Program and learnt more about their local Wiradjuri Culture.
As the Link-Up teacher for the past 16 years it is with great sadness that I will be leaving the Link-Up program this year. I have thoroughly treasured working at this fabulous school which provides such a respectful, safe, enriching and supportive environment for all students.
However the Link-Up Program will re-commence in Feb 2019 bigger and better than ever so don’t forget to enrol your child/ren who will be eligible to start school in 2020.
