FORDE ABBEY SEASON TICKETS Make the most of this wonderful historic home

201020102010 is coming to an end and what a

year it’s been at Forde Abbey. We’ve really enjoyed the excitement over the Pope’s Raphael tapestries at the V&A, which has produced lots of media inter-est in our own tapestries. Plus we’ve learnt some interesting new facts about how the tapestries were woven.

The glorious summer weather meant we were able to make full use of the gardens and grounds. Over the bank holiday, we had giant games on the lawns for visitors to play with. Our Charity Summer Fair raised £18,682.71 and nearly 200 people entered our gruelling run. The Cotley Pony Club held a mini one day event here and it was lovely to see so many young riders taking part.

The passing seasons always bring some-thing fresh to the gardens at Forde Abbey and as a season ticket holder, you will be able to witness all those changes. The house, too, has lots to offer with new ex-hibitions planned and updates to the rooms. But most importantly, take your time to enjoy the wonders of Forde Abbey.

The Sacrifice at Lystra before St

Paul and St Barnabus

We are delighted to tell you that Hestercombe and Abbotsbury Sub-tropical

Gardens have both agreed to continue to offer season ticket holders a generous

50% discount on entry to their lovely gardens—another reason to buy a Forde

Abbey season ticket!

A 2011 season ticket may be purchased from 1st October 2010 so allowing early birds 15 months access for the price of 12! They are available at a cost of £24 for a single ticket and £39 for a double so that you have earned back your money in only two and a half visits. Please fill in the attached application form and return it to the address on the back. As a season ticket is only valid for the person named on the ticket please print the name for each ticket clearly.

Season tickets may be paid for by cheque or Direct Debit by post; cash, cheque, card or Direct Debit in the Gift Shop. New Direct Debit applications will receive their 2011 guest tick-ets free as an introductory offer making a sav-ing of up to £9 per person!
