High C:16 fatty acid which improves milk quality - butterfat

Dairy Nutrition

Golden Promise is a specialist fat which contains high levels of palmitic acid (C:16), >80%.

This is a direct dietary supply of C:16 to the cow and results in a higher butterfat content in the milk.






Low butterfat is related to genetics and nutrition. It can be increased by either increasing the level of digestible fibre in the diet or increasing the level of palmitic fatty acid (C:16).
