wHAT IS FORM?

“I felt massively supported through the teaching, community and opportunities given to us. It is obvious that all those involved in running Form wanted to help me develop and were always there to encourage me.” Rachel, Form 2011-12

Form is a training year with a proven track record. For 18 years we have been training young adults to fulfil their potential and transform lives. Form will equip you for life, for leadership and for mission. It’s a three day a week training experience based in the heart of one of the fastest growing churches in the UK. As a trainee you will become part of a pioneering ministry team, developing your skills and shaping your character. You will gain experience at the heart of the church; leading others, in preaching and teaching, in leading worship and pushing out in mission. You will receive personal investment through discipleship groups and one-to-one coaching, discovering more of who God has made you to be and knowing how to be more effective in life, leadership and mission.

FORM IS A dIScIPlESHIP, lEAdERSHIP ANd MISSIONTRAINING yEAR

FORM TRAINING IS A 3 dAy PER-wEEK PROGRAMMEForm primarily takes place during the week from Tuesday to Thursday.

On Sundays you will serve on one of our teams at either the 11am or 7pm gatherings, getting involved in welcome, worship, hospitality, children, youth, prayer, or media. One of the gatherings on Sunday will be your opportunity to meet with God free from responsibility. The rest of the week is yours to volunteer or work in the local community, living out what you are learning and helping pay your way.

THE yEAR & cOSTS

“Form is like an enema for the soul; probing, uncomfortable but worth it in the long run” Kate, Form 2011-12

The Form year follows the school terms with a week off at half term and two weeks break at Christmas and Easter. After Easter, a key part of the year is our overseas mission trip, giving you an opportunity to serve the poor and marginalised in a very different culture and context. Each year the trainees raise funds to go and serve alongside others. In June, we serve at Pilgrimage (www.pilgrimageuk.org), an international conference focused on developing Missional Communities. The year finishes with trainee reviews, a final weekend retreat and graduation.

THE yEAR

FORM FEES ARE £950 FOR THE yEAR (OR £95/MONTH FOR 10 MONTHS). The includes everything* during your Form year: retreats, teaching notes, meals, weekly missions, ministry involvement and transport. OTHER cOSTSThe Form fee does not cover personal living costs, including rent, food and household bills, etc. The average living cost amounts to around £400-500 per month.

The total cost for the year will be in the region of £5500-£6000. Previous Form Trainees have all found part time work and covered their costs. A list of previous employers will be made available. In addition some have received support from friends, family and their home churches.
