Programme breakdown 2015 - 2018
• Planning the acquisition of a number of individual items within a wide range of projects.
• Particular emphasis is placed on procurements of different types of personal weapons and sensors.
• The procurement of personal clothing and equipment is on-going and is planned to
continue throughout the period.
SOLDIER SYSTEM PROGRAMME
• Combat vehicles (CV 90) medium-
weight, tracked standard armoured vehicles and armoured reconnaissance systems
• Artillery • Life extension program Main Battle
Tank (MBT) and new Combat Support (CS) on Leopard 2 chassis
• New Air Defence system • Other investments include M-113s,
various types of remotely operated weapon stations for vehicles, MLU SISU (Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC)) plus a number of smaller investments
• Increased use of UAVs ?
LAND SYSTEMS PROGRAMME
• Maintaining the F-16 as a first line combat aircraft
• The acquisition program for 52 F-35 combat aircraft is in progress
• Replacement of air surveillance radars
• Norwegian All Weather Search and Rescue Helicopter
