This family event at the Fort Belvoir Officers’ Club is perfect for the kids. The event is open

Military Family Appreciation Event – November 1

MWR presents a FREE pizza & ice-cream special event to celebrate November’s Fort

Belvoir Military Family Appreciation Month on Thursday, November 1st from 5:30 – 7:30

p.m. at the Community Center Ballroom. The Fort Belvoir community is invited to enjoy

over $300 worth of door prizes, kid’s activities with music, and fun social time for all ages!

New Functional Fitness Training Session

A new 8 week Functional Fitness session is starting October 29. The class times are the

following: Mon/Wed/Fri 5:30, 6:30 and 11:30 a.m. and Tues/Thurs 6 p.m. Pre-

registeration is required at Graves or Bodyshop. Active duty registration opens October 8

and Civilian registration opens October 15. For more information, please call 703-806-

New Class at Frame Shop

The Frame Shop is also offering a Basic Framing Class on Saturday October 20 from 8 a.m.

to Noon. The cost for this class is $65 and includes all materials. For more information or

Military Insignia Fair – November 4

Join us for a Military Insignia Fair, where you can buy, sell, trade or collect various Military

Memorabilia from all over the world and from every imaginable ear. Event begins at 8 a.m.

for vendors to set up between 7 to 8 a.m. Customers can participate from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at

Belvoir Road and Taylor Road, building 1200. For more information, please contact the

Archery Lessons

Outdoor Recreation is now offering new Archery classes starting in November. Advanced

registration and class payment are required before classes begin. Participants who are

new to the sport, Outdoor Recreation will be offering a new Introductory Archery class

every Monday from 5:30 to 7p.m. starting on November 5. Following classes are also

starting in November:

Beginner Archery Lessons – Monday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 6 week class starting on

November 5.

Intermediate Archery Lessons – Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm. 6 week class starting on

November 5.

Advanced Archery Lessons – Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm. 6 week class starting on

November 6.
