Summer Bowling Camp offered July 11-15 Youth, ages 6 to 17, sign-up for the Summer Bowling Camp at Twin Oaks Bowling Center July 11-15. The camp runs from 1-4 p.m. and the cost of the camp is $25 per child. On Friday, the last day of camp, it will run until 5 p.m. For those who would like to get a camp T-shirt there is an extra $8 charge. Camp will include bowling, shoe rental, daily snack, and instructions from a certified coach. Camp is limited to the first 100 registered kids. Outdoor Recreation offers a paintball day trip July 16 Get out and get moving with the Outdoor Recreation Summer programs when they take a trip to the Arena Paintball Pro in Lawton July 16 and Aug. 13 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Participants must be over the age of 10. Women get back to Nature with Outdoor Recreation Skeet Shooting July 23 Ladies, this is your chance to learn to skeet shoot July 23 from 9 a.m.-noon as part of the new Women in Nature program. Women, 18 and older, are invited to get outside and active with a

LETRA hosts Movies on the Beach July 23 Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area hosts Movies on the Beach July 23. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a family-friendly movie on LETRA's beach after the sun sets. Entry to the park and the movie are free.

LETRA hosts paddling July 24 Beat the heat and the crowds with a morning paddle on the lake at LETRA. Come for the enjoyment on the water or come to learn how to paddle a canoe or a kayak July 24 and Aug. 14, 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Cost is $5 and registration ends day before the event. Patrons can register on the day of the event if there is space available.

Family and Soldier Support Training July 27 Join Army Community Service Family Support Training 8:45 a.m.–4 p.m. at Graham Resiliency Training Campus July 27 from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. for the Family and Soldier Support Training, a day of Special Topics Training. Topics focus on care team basics, including basic roles and responsibilities, Survivor Outreach Services and more. The training is designed for Care Team Members, FRG leaders, commanders, Rear Detachment Commanders and anyone involved with an FRG. Child care is available if reservations are made by July 6. National Bowling Week kicks off July 30 National Bowling week starts July 30 and runs through Aug. 6. There will be activities for each day of the week. Outdoor Recreation travels to Turner Falls July 30 ODR will take a trip to Turner Falls State Park in Davis, OK, which is nestled in the Arbuckle Mountains July 30 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Spend the day at this adventurous and family-friendly destination and enjoy activities like hiking, swimming, exploring rock formations, and visiting the 77-foot waterfall. PAIRS, an interactive couples communication class, offered July 30 Practical Applications of Intimate Relationship Skills will be held July 30 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Resiliency Training Campus. PAIRS is an interactive couple's communication class that focuses on the how’s and whys of effective communication. This class is a great way for brand new couples to explore their relationship, and is also ideal for more experienced couples to renew and refresh their bond. Childcare cut-off is July 15. CYSS offers Youth Golf Camp Aug. 1, 2 The Youth Golf Camp is Aug. 1 and 2 from 8:30 a.m.-noon. The camp is open to youth ages 7-14. Cost is $25 and covers green fee, use of clubs (you may bring personal clubs if you have them), T-shirt, golf item and lunch on second day of each camp. The camp is limited to 30 participants per camp; register for one camp only. Registration ends July 25 for the camp. Youth Competitive Swim Team runs through August Youth, ages 18 and under; are invited to join the Youth Competitive swim team. The cost, which is $65, covers goggles, swimsuit, swimmers cap, trophy and T-shirt. Participants new to the team must tryout before registering. Fitness program offers Zumba toning classes Zumba Toning is from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at Honeycutt Fitness Center. C2 5K classes offered at 3-mile track C2 5K or Couch to 5K is from 6-7 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at the 3-mile track. Participants will meet in the 3-mile track parking lot on Mow-Way Road. Learn and train on how to run a 5K with the support of a trainer and running coach who will lead you in this program and end it with a 5K race around the 3-mile track on Sept 1. P.H.A.T. Club offers support and information to lose weight The P.H.A.T. (Pretty Hot and Tempting) Club is an ongoing program designed to assist men and women with fitness and weight loss. Members can work one-on-one with trainers and go online for weight-loss and fitness tips and advice. The club members will also sign up for the President's Challenge and log in the hours exercised and the kind of activity performed. Automotive Skills Center offers facility, staff and classes for automotive care The Automotive Skills Center can fix your car if you don't have time. The knowledgeable staff offers repairs, tune-ups, brake jobs, and more. Make your own vehicle repairs and save a bundle at the center. The center hosts automotive repair classes and movies every month. A mandatory safety class, which is required before using the facility, is offered 30 minutes after opening. Bay rentals start at $4 per hour. The Automotive Skills Center, located at 2503 Ringgold Road, is open Thursday through Monday from 2- 10 p.m.; and the center is closed Tuesday and Wednesday For information, call (580) 442-5152.

Hourly care available at Grierson CDC The Alice Grierson Child Development Center offers hourly care for children 6 weeks to 5 years old and a part-time preschool and toddler program. The center’s hours are 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. for hourly care and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for the part-time programs. There is limited space available. Parents must register with Child, Youth and School Services to utilize the center. Call (580) 442-3927 for more information.

CYS Services offers range of services online with WebTrac CYS Services offers a range of services with WebTrac, an online payment and pre-registration service for CYS Services. The online service offers online pre-registration for membership, enrollment in SKIES, Sports, EDGE, the Youth Center and School Age Center events. Patrons can request placement of their child or children on the CYSS waiting list and make hourly care appointments. Swimming, Free Babysitting Courses, Baby Sign Language workshops and Golf. Enrollment is ongoing and classes are paid for on a monthly basis. Fort Sill Golf Course is open to the public The Fort Sill Golf Course is open to the public Tuesday through Friday for open play. Weekend play is still reserved for authorized users, family members and their guests. Currently, hours of the course are from 6:30 a.m.–9 p.m. or from dawn to dusk. RecPlex offers variety of movies and games The RecPlex has a wide variety of movies available to show for the Friday Night Movie since the center now has an account with NetFlix and Gamefly. Gamefly will also provide games for the Xboxes with Kinect, Playstation 3, and Wii. Come out and test your gaming skills. Contact the RecPlex at 442-4824 for more information.

NEOS gaming system available for families at Co-Op Park The NEOS Wall and NEOS 360 electronic outdoor games are located at Co-Op Park, off Fort Sill Boulevard on Upton Road. NEOS is the world’s first electronic play systems for the playground. It combines the speed and reflex action of video games with the explosive movement of aerobic exercise to create the most physically challenging and exciting activity ever to hit your play space. Playing NEOS delivers a workout for the heart and lungs-not just the thumbs. Each NEOS play system offers multiple, high-thrill games for solo or team players. Cabins open for reservation at LETRA Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area has lakeside rustic, wood cabins available for reservation in three different sizes. The small cabins accommodate up to four people; the medium cabins accommodate up to six people; and large cabins accommodate seven people. The prices for the cabins are $55 for the small cabins; $65 for the medium cabins; and $75 for the large cabins. The cabins are available for reservation to all, but there is an additional $10 cost for civilians. The cabins come with all the amenities including furnishings; heat and air; a TV and DVD player; fully-stocked kitchens with dishes and silverware; and linens and towels. Fort Sill Conference Center available for meetings, events The Fort Sill Conference Center is available for reservation at no cost for all military and Department of Defense personnel and their families. The center can also be used to conduct classes, Family Readiness Group meetings and many other events. The center hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and evenings, and weekends by reservation only. Recycle Center collects recyclables The Recycle Center, located on the corner of Mow-Way and Sheridan Roads, offers collection bins available 24 hours a day. Users are reminded that the Recycle Center is a collection point for recyclable materials only, not trash. All recyclable materials must be placed inside the collection bins. Items placed in the bins are not eligible for unit “Cash for Trash” credit. If you have questions about what is accepted or the unit “Cash for Trash” program, please call (580) 442-5712 or 585-7865.

Rec Hut checks out sports equipment for patrons Feel like playing some tennis or skating, but don't have the equipment? The Rec Hut can meet your needs. The Rec Hut (Bldg 602) is located next to Butner Field on Quinette Road, just south of the Patriot Club. Roller skates, roller blades and tennis racquets are available for check out with a picture ID. Equipment checkout is quick and easy. The Rec Hut is open during the following times: Friday from 6-10 p.m.; Saturday from 1-8 p.m.; and Sunday from 1-6 p.m. Other times are available by reservation. Impact Zone offers fun throughout the week • The Impact Zone opens Monday through Friday from 4 p.m., and on Saturday at 6 p.m. • Java Café serves breakfast. Whether you’re powering up after a grueling PT or meeting the ladies for a cup of Starbuck’s coffee, Java Café can help you get your morning started right. Located inside Fort Sill’s Impact Zone, Java Café serves breakfast Monday through Friday from 7:30-10:30 a.m. • The Java Café is open for lunch Monday through Friday; on Wednesday from 4:30-9 p.m.; and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights until 10 p.m. and serves a full menu until close. • Play all your favorite games at the Impact Zone. The IZ has Wii, foos ball, air hockey, pool tables and darts available to play.

Fort Sill Golf Course Mulligan's Restaurant open to golfers, walk-ins Mulligan's Restaurant, inside the Fort Sill Golf Club, is open for business. This informal and friendly restaurant is designed to give you exactly what you want-good food, a fun environment and a place to meet friends and family. Mulligan’s offers a complete breakfast menu. Golfers and walk-in customers may choose from a full menu of delicious burgers, sandwiches, and freshly tossed salad selections during the day. Army Community Service offers Job Search Assistance and Resume Writing Class The Employment Readiness Program at Fort Sill is currently offering resume writing and career planning workshops to help military spouses enhance their job search. The ERP staff provides an overview of employment opportunities in the local community, assistance with federal employment application procedures, assistance in career planning and goal setting. In addition, job seekers will have access to computers for resume and application and a great collection of professional career books for reference. For those about to relocate who desire personal assistance, plan to see the Employment Readiness Program at your installation three months prior to relocation and during the first three months following your arrival at the new duty station. Outdoor Adventure Center rents equipment and reserves on-post parks The Outdoor Adventure Center has all the equipment you need to make the most of your outdoor time. Monthly Meetings • Caravan Club offers field trips for military children birth to 5 and their favorite big person. The Caravan Club is a great way for preschoolers and their families to enjoy educational field trips throughout Lawton Fort Sill, Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas. There are new and exciting trips available every month for military children and their caregivers. There is no cost for this activity, but pre-registration is required by calling Tamara Seals at 442-0077 with the name(s) and ages(s) of the children attending and name and cell number of accompanying parent. • Newcomers/Start Right Orientation is presented on Tuesdays in Building 4700, Room 216 starting at 8 a.m. This orientation is open to all newly assigned Soldiers and family members.
