APRIL

5th Annual Celebrity Waiters luncheon April 24, 2013 Join us at the Double Tree Hotel on Wednesday, April 24th for a fantastic luncheon, complete with a fash-ion show by Christine’s & Lolo’s, gifts, raffle prizes and an opportunity to win a gift from Tiffany & Co.! Lo-­cal T.V. personalities, politicians and business owners serve as waiters at this fun-filled event. Tickets are $40 per person. Table sponsorships are available.

JUNE Joey Porter Celebrity Golf Tournament June 28, 2013

Join us at the Bakersfield Country Club on Friday, June 28th for a great day of golf and have the oppor-tunity to meet former Pittsburg Steeler Joey Porter and a few of his NFL friends. The $250 entry fee in-cludes green fees, cart, autographed 8x10 photo, tee prizes, food and beverages on the course and a delicious dinner after your round. Amazing silent and live auction items will be available to bid on.

JULY Fireworks Booth July 1 - 4, 2013

The BARC Fireworks booths are once again at the corner of White Lane and Gosford (Fastrip) and at Brim-hall and Calloway (Rite Aid). Support the programs of BARC by purchasing your family’s fireworks there, volunteer to work a shift at one of our locations or sell pre-sale coupons and be eligible to win a $50 gift card.

SEPTEMBER BARC Golf Classic September 9, 2013

Join us at Bakersfield Country Club for BARC’s Golf Classic. The $175 entry fee includes green fees, cart, tee prizes, fantastic food and beverages on the course and a delicious dinner after your round. A variety of silent auction items and raffle prizes help close out the day.

Great Kern County Fair Sept. 18 - Sept. 29, 2013

Stop by the BARC Café during your visit to the Kern County Fair and enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, steak sandwiches, sweet potato fries and more. Or sign up to work a shift and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Fair while helping support the programs of BARC. The BARC Café is located at the entrance to the midway, next to the Kiwanis booth.

OCTOBER Annual Dinner October 29, 2013 (Tentative) The BARC Annual Dinner will take place at the Moorea Banquet Hall as we celebrate 64 years of Giving People Purpose. Vendor and Client awards will be part of the festivities as we install the Board of Directors for 2013-2014.

DECEMBER Magical Forest December 13 - 29, 2013

Eight years of enchantment...The Magical Forest will once again bring more holiday spirit to the BARC Campus. Come out and visit Santa, stroll through our winter wonderland and enjoy the many activities the Forest has to offer.

Hop aboard Ghost Rider, Boomerang, Jaguar, or any number of thrill rides for a screaming good time. After an exciting day at Knott’s Berry Farm we’ll spend the night in Buena Park and rest up for our next day of fun at the Long Beach Aquarium. Cost includes transportation from BARC, admission to Knott’s Berry Farm and Long Beach Aquarium and hotel accommodations.
