Fallen Patriot Gerd Honsik, 1941—2018

Poet and historical revisionist Gerd

Honsik died on Saturday 7th April at his

home in Sopron, Hungary, just across the

border from his native Austria.

A political activist since the 1960s,

Honsik had been a federal executive mem-

ber of Austria’s National Democratic Party,

which was banned in 1988 under increas-

ingly draconian anti-democratic laws de-

signed to protect the political establish-

ment.

That same year Honsik wrote a book ti-

tled Freisprüch für Hitler? (Acquittal for

Hitler?), questioning the historical ortho-

doxies that are now backed by the full

force of criminal law in much of Eu-

rope. This began thirty years of legal per-

secution. In 1992 he was given an 18-

month prison sentence by a Vienna court,

having already been convicted in Munich:

both the Austrian and German legal sys-

tems ruled that historical revisionism

amounted to “incitement” and that, as un-

der British race laws (which do not yet

criminalize revisionism), the truth is no

defence.

Honsik fled to Spain to escape this perse-

cution, and while in Spain published fur-

ther revisionist article in the maga-

zine Halt. He remained in exile until Span-

ish law was changed to permit his arrest

and extradition to Austria in 2007, then be-

gan serving the 18-month sentence from

fifteen years earlier, and in 2009 was con-

victed of additional offences and given a

further five year prison sentence. This was

Inspired by the friendly reception I had

received in a small rural county seat, I

decided to attend the town hall meeting

featuring that district's representative in

the state legislature.

I was surprised by the very small num-

ber of attendees. However, this enabled

all of us to talk with him. Both during

and after the meeting.

Initially I planned a somewhat con-

frontation approach with this "system

politician". But this quickly changed.

This elected representative gave the im-

pression of being a civic-minded citizen.

Not a political stooge. The audience's

mood and atmosphere reflected this.

I urged the state legislature to criminal-

ize illegal immigration. When asked

“how”, I presented the dual fine/prison

approach from our leaflet on the REVO-

LUTION series web-sites. The main

idea is that the threat of a huge fine, es-

sentially the confiscation of all assets,

will frighten the invaders into simply

leaving the on their own accord. I also

offered the example of a “tough” state

law in Arizona, which had a similar ef-

fect even though it was later overturned

by the courts.

He calmly expressed very reasonable

concerns about the cost of enforcement

and possible civil liberties complica-

tions.

Significantly, I was very pleasantly

surprised not to discern any "shock" over

my proposal itself!

Furthermore, nobody else in the room

objected to my proposal at all. Not even

on practical grounds.

Nobody spouted any "political correct-

ness" nonsense.

Stressing the symbolic and psychologi-

cal value of this action, I complained that

the U.S. federal government is dysfunc-

tional. The elected official openly

agreed with this.

Hopefully, I nudged people in our di-

rection. And established a rapport with

at least some of the people present.

Of course, I do not expect to “Nazify”

any elected official. Leastwise not in the

near future.

Nonetheless, I am doing other things:

Building a rapport.

Making contacts.

And improving my skills.

Pedro Varela Geiss was born on October

3, 1957 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. De-

gree in History and Germanic Philology.

He is a bookseller, writer and revisionist

historian who became known for selling

National Socialist literature in the Libreria

Europa, such as My Adolf Hitler's Struggle

or Holocaust Revisionist, as well as others

such as The Protocols of Zion. Apart from

these well-known titles, the library also

offered a wide range of titles in relation to

historical revisionism, art and culture, as

well as having a varied miscellany on the

subject. Varela is fond of canoeing, region-

al North European dances, lover of the high

mountains, Wagner and cycling. It is de-

fined as Catholic and vegetarian.

Currently, both the Libreria Europa and

Ediciones Ojeda have disappeared, as a

result of a police operation that is part of

the long campaign of harassment and cen-

sorship that has been the object.

In his youth he was an admirer of the Span-

ish ruler Francisco Franco and member of

the Spanish Circle of Friends of Europe

(CEDADE); a National Socialist associa-

tion of which he would be appointed presi-

dent at the age of 17. He was arrested in

Spain for claiming that the king was a Ma-

son and in Austria, in 1992, accused of

propagating National Socialism.

In 1998 he was sentenced in Spain for

political charges labeled as "apology for

The PATRIOT CHARITY PROJECT combines support for local charities and promotion

of patriotism.

It was launched on February 18, 2018 in a small town in the American heartland. A

“semi-retired” businessman loved his town and wanted to contribute. Unfortunately, the

“Great Recession” had hit him hard. His primary source of personal income was social

security. So he decided to put his half century of business experience and contacts to

good use.

He decided to offer free “Betsy Ross” flags in order to encourage donations to local

charities in his town and promote patriotism at the same time. This was the first pro-

ject.

The second project offers free badges which display the Betsy Ross flag as well as the

town’s name and the word “Patriot.” Convenient counter displays are also provided.

Volunteers and contacts are wanted! But NOT financial donations! That money

should stay in the community and be used to support local charities.

reduced on appeal to four years, but an ex-

tra two year sentence was added in 2010.

The famous 2006 Tehran Conference on

the Holocaust was partly at Honsik’s insti-

gation, after he had asked Iran’s Ambassa-

dor to Germany in December 2005 whether

the Islamic Republic could provide legal or

diplomatic assistance for the Canadian-

German revisionist publisher Ernst Zün-

del. Honsik was forbidden to travel to Iran,

but the Tehran Conference was addressed

by his attorney Dr Herbert Schaller. In

2011 Dr Schaller won his client an early

release from prison, but nevertheless

Honsik had served four years merely for

the normal pursuit of historical enquiry.

Gerd Honsik took refuge in Hungary last

year, as the Austrian authorities were

threatening further legal moves against

him. His death marks another heroic mile-

stone in the pursuit of historical truth and

justice. Within the last eight months we

have lost Ernst Zündel, his widow Ingrid

Rimland Zündel, Don Salvador Borrego,

Dr Herbert Schaller, and now Gerd Honsik.

They lit a flame that younger generations

must now carry forward.

The 1998 process ended with a final sen-

tence of 7 months in prison and the destruc-

tion of 20,900 books, as well as the pay-

ment of a heavy economic fine.

On April 11, 2006 is arrested in the city

of Barcelona under the ridiculous charge of

"defense and justification of genocide" after

having published copies of the book The

myth of the six million Joaquin Bochaca, a

fact that according to the Spanish authori-

ties, would endanger "the security of for-

eign states." In 2006 he was arrested again

and prosecuted until today by his publish-

ing house Ediciones Ojeda, which publish-

es books currently being persecuted. The

books that have been in the protocol of this

second process are, among others: Funda-

mentals of biopolitics of Jacques de Mahieu

and Raza, intelligence and education of HJ

Eysenck, as well as Self-portrait of a fascist

by Léon Degrelle, The Protocols of the

Sages of Zion and My Hitler Fight

As of February 10, 2009, the oral hearing

begins. Simultaneously, the State of Bavar-

ia is currently prosecuting Pedro Varela, as

the alleged owner of the rights to the edi-

tion of Mi lucha. The judge of the 33rd

Court demanded on February 9 the pay-

ment of 7,000 Euros as bail before the be-

ginning of the trial so that Pedro Varela

does not escape to justice. Later, the gen-

eral prosecutor of Catalonia requested 4

years in prison, 5,000 euros of fine and the

destruction of the 4,850 new books seques-

tered.

On Thursday, December 9, 2010, Pedro

Varela enters prison -with the seizure of all

the books prosecuted- and he leaves prison

in February 2012, after one year and three

months of internment.

On March 5, 2013, Strasbourg con-

demned Spain to compensate him for con-

sidering that Spain had violated Pedro Varela's

right to be informed of the cause of the accusa-

tion, and his right to have sufficient time to

carry out his defense. [3] Pedro Varela He has

denounced on several occasions that he is tried

by all means of imprisonment, even commit-

ting irregularities such as the one mentioned

above.

In July 2016 he had legal problems again.

They arrested several people related to the Li-

breria Europa, registered their home and seized

about 15,000 books. Later, Varela surrendered

voluntarily, refused to testify before the judge

and was remanded in custody, [1] from which

he left shortly after paying a deposit of 30,000

euros. [4]

Again in 2018 Pedro Varela returned to pris-

on for 3 months and 1 day for a copyright of-

fense when he sold the book Mein Kampf by

Adolf Hitler at the "La Roca-Cuatre Camins"

Prison in Barcelona, while in most of

Bookstores in Spain continue to sell the book

without any problem.

Political repression

Despite the confiscation of thousands of his

books by the police in various raids, Pedro

Varela does not give up and continues to

spread the other side of the story, which politi-

cal interests and pressure groups try to silence

because of the weight of the law.

At the end of October 2010, the head of the

15th Criminal Court in Barcelona ordered the

arrest and imprisonment of the owner of the

Libreria Europa, Pedro Varela, for editing revi-

sionist books.

Given this fact, the Spanish intellectual Edu-

ard Alcántara sent a text for publication on the

site Tsunami Político. He himself says:

What treatment does the current political-

selves embody restlessness and perseverance?

What treatment does the current political-

judicial power offer to those who, in the face

of oppression, never surrender?

Well, instead of the acknowledgment and the

outstanding treatment that Men would deserve

in this way, the current political-judicial power

reserves persecution and defamation.

There are men like that and Pedro Varela is

one of the best representative paradigms of

them. There are many years that we know and

our admiration for him is enhanced day by

day, it is like a gentleman come from distant

times to undo wrongs and fight against abuse

and injustice. He does not do it riding a steed

or a spear and holding the sword but on the

back of books and grasping the culture of

truth.

How can the current political-judicial power

be defined when it chooses to criminalize, re-

taliate, condemn and denigrate the few noble

and free men who remain? For by their deeds

you will know them; and by their deeds we

know to what obscure interests they obey ...

In July 2016, a police operation completely

destroyed the Europa Bookshop and also end-

ed with Ediciones Ojeda. [1]

In March 2018, the owner of the Europa

Bookshop has been sentenced to three months

in prison once again for the alleged crime of

illicit sale of Mein Kampf [1], for which he

had another conviction in the past. However,

the judge accepts the arguments of the Office

of the Prosecutor for prison because of the risk

of "criminal reiteration of hate crimes". The

person in charge of your admission is the Pros-

ecutor of the hatred that has been persecuting

you since 1996, with authentic fixation. Pedro

Varela entered prison on March 19, in a Cata-

lonia in which the independence leaders hypo-

critically ask for freedom for the secessionist

prisoners, while they lock up booksellers for

exclusively political reasons.

approach can be used in other countries, too. Even relatively

moderate sympathizers can be put to good use and ideally

“radicalized” over time. Factors to consider when selecting the

right “propaganda weapon” are legality, personal preference of

the activist, target audience, and objective.
