Four-Year Graduation Rates for Four-Year Colleges

A college’s average graduation rate is a very important characteristic to consider when deciding which college to apply to and attend. If the college’s students normally graduate on time, you are also more likely to graduate on time.

You should also consider other aspects of a college, including diversity of the student body. The percentage of undergraduate students receiving Pell Grants (federal grants for students with financial need) is one measure of the socioeconomic diversity at a given college.

These are only two of the measures to consider when researching colleges.  To explore academic and extracurricular programs, student life, and cost and financial aid, visit bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-search.
