De su nuevo Ministro de los Jóvenes

Querida Familia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes,

Toda gloria y alabanza a Dios.

Como algunos de ustedes saben tuve la bendición y el honor de haber sido durante los últimos 6 años secretaria de nuestro maravilloso Párroco, Mons. Schwanger. Antes de eso, había sido bendecida siendo la secretaria de nuestro antiguo amado Párroco, Obispo Isern. El Señor me ha permitido servirle a Él a través de estos santos y � eles servidores, y por eso me siento honrada y siempre estaré muy agradecida.

Como todos sabemos, el Señor tiene muchos planes para nosotros. Justo cuando nos acomodamos en un cálido ambiente en nuestros lugares de trabajo y / o la vida del hogar, Él nos desafía a volver a levantarnos y avanzar a nuevas aventuras que le honran. Bueno, yo estoy aquí para anunciar que Él me ha pedido seguir adelante. Me gustaría presentarle a usted el recién nombrado Ministro de los Jóvenes de la Parroquia Nuestra Señora de Lourdes...

¡¡¡yo!!! ¿Lo pueden creer? ¡¡¡Todavía no puedo creerlo!! Es para mí en muchos aspectos, un sueño hecho realidad. Antes de comenzar como miembro del personal en OLOL, tuve el gran placer de trabajar durante 5 años con más de 135 maravillosos jóvenes y jóvenes adultos juntos a los cuales hemos construido un ministerio dinámico de artes escénicas llamado “Faith Based Productions”.

Para mí, fue una experiencia de cambio de vida que llevo cerca de mi corazón y algo que valoro toda mi vida. Mi esperanza es que con la ayuda de Cristo, la intercesión de la Virgen de Lourdes y un montón de oraciones pueda ayudar a Mons. Schwanger a construir un ministerio que es diferente y único y ¡¡¡simplemente increíble!!!!

Mons. Schwanger y el Diácono Plummer tienen muchos planes emocionantes para nuestro ministerio y no puedo esperar para anunciarlos según avanza la semana. Pero mientras tanto, me gustaría reunirme con tantos como sea posible, por lo que no dude en visitarme en la O� cina de Formación Cristiana o mándenme un correo electrónico a [email protected]

All praise and glory to God.

As some of you may know I had the blessing and honor to have been for the last 6 years secretary to our wonderful Pastor, Msgr. Schwanger. Prior to that, I had been blest to be secretary to our beloved former Pastor, Bishop Isern. � e Lord allowed me to serve Him through these holy and faithful servants, and for that I am humbled and will always be extremely grateful.

As we all know, the Lord has many plans for us. Just when we get warm and cozy in our workplaces and/or home life, He challenges us to get back up and move forward to new adventures that honor Him. Well, I am here to announce that He has asked of me to move forward. I would like to introduce to you the newly appointed Youth Minister of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish….me!!! Can you believe it? I still can’t!! It is for me in many ways a dream come true.

Before starting as a sta� member at OLOL, I had the great pleasure of working for 5 years with over 135 wonderful youth and young adults whom together we built a dynamic performing arts ministry named Faith Based Productions. For me, it was a life changing experience that I carry close to my heart and one that I cherish all my life.

My hope is that with the help of Christ, the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes and lots of prayers to help Msgr. Schwanger build a ministry that is di� erent and unique and just as amazing!!!!

Msgr. Schwanger and Deacon Plummer have many exciting plans for our ministry and I can’t wait to announce them as the week’s progress. � e Catholic Home Missions Appeal will take place next week. One way that this appeal works to support home mission dioceses in the United States is by supporting seminarian formation in poor dioceses.

� e blessing of seminarians places a � nancial burden on these dioceses, because educating each seminarian costs $35-40K per year. Your support is needed for these young men so that they might go back and serve their parishes.

Please strengthen the Church at home by making a generous gi� to next week’s appeal.

En nuestros días, un acosador con un dispositivo electrónico puede intimidar en el anonimato, e invadir el territorio seguro que el hogar siempre ofrecía para evitar las burlas y el acoso.

Acoso cibernético se de� ne como el uso de la internet, los teléfonos celulares u otros dispositivos electrónicos para enviar o publicar mensajes de texto o imágenes visuales destinadas a herir o avergonzar a otra persona. Today, a bully using an electronic device can anonymously bully and invade the safe and secure territory that the home historically provided to avoid teasing and harassment…Cyber-bullying is de� ned as when the Internet, cell phones, or other electronic devices are used to send or post text messages or visual images intended to hurt or embarrass another person…Schools can be very e� ective in working with parents to stop cyber-bullying situations.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. � e Archdiocese of Miami runs one of the most robust awareness and prevention programs in the country.
