Scenario #1 – Incident occurs within 700/800MHz coverage area.
Issue: How do users operating on a 700/800MHz system talk to neighbors who operate on VHF?
Possible Solution – VHF mutual aid channel(s) are integrated into the 700/800MHz system and patched to mutual aid talkgroups for VHF mutual aid/interoperability. The patch can be set up “on the fly” or permanently through the console.

Scenario #2 – Incident occurs outside of the 700/800MHz coverage area.
Possible Solution(s) 1. Portable Cross-Band DVRS 2. 700/800MHz Mutual Aid Repeater to extend
coverage into neighboring counties3. Portable Swap4. Carry Two Subscribers (VHF and 700/800MHz)
