The National Academy is by invitation only for Law Enforcement Officers around the world. Less than half of 1% of law enforcement officers gets to attend this training course. For 10 weeks, Captain Kelly attended classes ranging from Executive Leadership to Managing Organizational Change. Another component during the academy is physical fitness. During his time at the Academy, Captain Kelly earned a “Yellow Brick” for completing a physically demanding 6.1 mile obstacle course at the end of the academy.
