Safety in Flying

This is NOT a toy! It is a very high‐performance RC airplane capable of high speeds and extreme maneuvers. It should only be operated by a competent pilot in a safe area with proper supervision. ONLY fly your aircraft in a safe, open area, away from spectators and vehicles–and where it is legal to fly. NEVER fly over an unsafe area, such as a road or street. Never fly too close to yourself or spectators.

Never run your motor inside a house or building with the propeller attached – Remove the prop for safety.

Airframe Assembly

Prepare a flat surface. Locate the foam wing spar strips.

Apply hot melt glue to the wing spar strips.

Using the laser engraved lines on the wing as guide, glue the support strips to the wing.

Apply hot glue to the top of the support strips and on the edge of the wing. Fold the wing and press it on the flat surface to glue the two sides of the wing together. Repeat the same steps for the other wing.

5

Apply hot melt glue to the joining area of two wings. Then put the joined wing on a flat surface. Wait for at least 3-5 minute until the glue has cured. Make sure the wing is on a flat surface so the left and right side is properly aligned.

Fuselage cover Install

Locate the fuselage cover.

One side of the fuselage cover has printed graphics. The other side is blank. You should apply glue to the side that is blank.

Apply foam glue to the middle area of the wing bottom.

Place the fuselage cover on a flat surface. Align the middle area of the wing bottom to the fuselage cover and secure them together. After you secured the fuselage cover, the printed graphics should align with the graphics on the wing.

Fuselage compartment and the motor box installation

Locate the wood parts sheets.

Peel off the parts from the sheet, and assemble the fuselage compartment.

Locate the wood parts for the motor box, and assemble the motor box.

The motor box should be attached to the fuselage compartment as shown below.

Locate two motor mount plates. Glue them together.

Glue the motor mount to the motor box.

Apply hot melt glue to the pre-cut slots on the middle of the wing. Install the wing compartment onto the pre-cut slots.

7

Fuselage side board assembly

Locate the four pieces of foam that make up the fuselage side boards.

Use one big piece with one small piece to create on side board. You need to create one left side board and one right side board. The left and right side board should not be identical but should be mirror image of each other.

Apply hot melt glue to the edge of fuselage side boards. Install the fuselage side boards onto the fuselage. Align the cut out on the side board with the wood fuselage compartment.

Locate the foam rear covers. Glue the two rear covers onto the rear of the fuselage on either side of the motor box.

8

Locate three foam parts for the front wall/camera slot.

Use hot melt glue to assemble the mount as shown below.

Secure the mount onto the leading edge of the fuselage with hot melt glue. The mount should be in alignment with the fuselage side boards.

The fuselage cover will be folded to cover up the fuselage. First apply foam glue to places with the cover will meet the fuselage side board and camera mount. Then fold the fuselage cover and glue it together.

9

Locate the foam fuselage cover paddings. These two paddings should go into the gap between the fuselage compartment and the fuselage cover.

Locate the wood locking tabs. These two tabs should be glued to either sides of the motor mount.

Press the fuselage cover on the locking tabs to leave two imprints. Then use a knife to cut out an opening at the imprints. This will allow you to lock the fuselage cover during flight.

10

Now you can use the wood tabs to lock the fuselage cover.

Aileron control horns installation

Apply hot melt glue to the pre-cut slots on the aileron. Install the control horns into the slots.

The travel of the control horn would be partially blocked by the wing, so you will need to use a knife cut out a small triangular slot on the top of the wing. The slot should be about 8mm wide, 15mm long, and 5mm deep. Make sure it is big enough to allow the control horn to have proper control throw.

11

Locate two Z-bend pushrods (1.5*260mm), two 9g servos (not included), two EZ-connector sets.

Install two EZ-connectors into the servo arms. Pay attention to the direction of the servo arms should be different.

Secure the servo arms into the servo.

Secure the servo into the pre-cut slots of the wing with hot melt glue.

Connect the bent end of the pushrod with the control horns. The other end goes through to the EZ-connector. Cut off any excess length on the pushrods.

Motor Installation

Locate a brushless motor such as a G10/3536 size, an 8*6 propeller, four motor screws (2*10mm), and a 30A ESC. The motor, the ESC and the propeller are not included. You have to purchase them separately.

Connect the ESC to the motor. And secure the motor onto the motor mount with four screws.

12

Install the propeller onto the motor.

Vertical tail installation

The vertical tail installation is not required, but it does help make the plane fly more stable.

Apply hot melt glue to the joining area of the vertical tail and the fuselage.

Install vertical tail onto the wings.

Winglet Installation

Secure the winglets onto the end of the wing with hot melt glue.

13

GoPro camera mount assembly

You only need to install a camera mount if you plan to

mount a camera on the front of the airplane.

Assemble the camera fixing bracket with glue.

Use a knife to cut out the front of the airplane.

Secure the wood camera mount onto the camera slot using hot melt glue.

The CG should be 76-89mm (3-3.5in) from the leading edge of the wing. Control throws should be 30-40 degrees.
