Catherine Jaskiewicz Associate Catherine is an Associate with eight years of experience in the Middle East and GCC region and she currently works in the corporate department of our Muscat office in the Sultanate of Oman. Catherine focuses her practice on corporate and commercial law. In Oman, she has advised various public agencies and private entities on drafting and negotiating engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, design and engineering consultancy agreements, and she has assisted several governmental and semi- governmental clients with contracts standarization projects. Catherine also advises overseas companies on foreign direct investment laws, local and cross border M&A’s, distribution, franchising, agency, and administration procedures that can have an impact on setting up operations in Oman. Catherine’s practice and expertise extends to advising on various labour law and immigration related issues. Prior to joining BSA Catherine practiced for 5 years at an international law firm based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and in Muscat, Oman. Before moving to the Gulf region, she worked as a legal advisor to private sector companies, providing commercial and international law advice and dealing with contractual negotiations in Poland, Syria and Jordan. Catherine holds an LL.M. from Jagiellonian University and is a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Law of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
