➢ 11:00 am - bilingual Mass with Catholic Daughters Sponsored Reception afterwards.

1st Communion for 4th graders (Mary Riker class) will be on Sunday May 5th

➢ Parents can choose either the 11:00am mass or 5:30pm mass.

Key Dates

➢ Confirmation (Margaret's Class) will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd at 6:00 pmat St. Margaret Scotland in Maggie Valley.

Confirmation class retreat is on Saturday March 2nd at St. Margaret of Scotland!

• Advanced Class (Mark Saffrann's Class) - 6 Youth will receive 1st Communion and/or Confirmation on Easter Vigil.

Basic Scope of Work:

1. Remove shingles from roof2. Repair soft spots in wound (estimated 25% of roof)3. Cap chimney 4. Repair brick work5. Install pitch to roof – eliminating debris problem for gutter and leaking through wall6. Install new shingles on roof

Estimated Cost: $60,000 - $80,000 (Need bids to confirm)


1. Retire las tejas del techo2. Reparación de puntos blandos en la herida (estimado 25% del techo)3. Chimenea de la tapa4. Reparación de ladrillos5. 3. Needed Electrical Upgrade and Lighting (to include safety lights)

4. Install Insulation and Drywall5. Install Floor Tiling6. Modify entrance in back of building

Estimated Costs: $ 50,000 - $ 70,000 (Need to confirm with bids)

The Mission of St. John the Evangelist’s Catholic Youth Ministry Program is to help each youth at their age level offer a personal response to Jesus Christ by living a LIFE OF…1. PRAYER – Encounter Jesus Christ (personal & communal)2. GRACE – Confession & The Eucharist3. COMMUNITY – Fellowship amongst youth their age in a mentor

based format that provides opportunities to grow in faith & advance as an intentional disciples of Jesus who serve others.


1. Prayer Event – “ACTS” (adoration, confession, talk, social) – 1st Wednesday

2. Social Event – Changes monthly – 2nd Wednesday

3. Formation Event – 3rd Wednesday
